The midnight is essentially black and goes with any color band you’d like. The starlight is pretty, but it’s not silver. It has a slight gold cast to it and that may make it harder to get a color band to go well than the midnight. If you like traditional colors like black, dark browns you can do well with starlight, as well as matching starlight from Apple. If you want lots of different colors and want to build a band collection ( yes, some people do), then it might be a tad more difficult. It’s still a nice color for the watch.

The solo loop are nice but just be aware that over time they can stretch and some people start to notice tears or they completely break. Some people get Apple to replace them if that happens but most say they are told that’s not covered under the warranty. Personally, I prefer the midnight.
