This might be a silly question, but I got my first Apple Watch (SE 2nd gen), and I want to know if I buy a band that is supposed to be for the Series 8, is it going to fit in mine?

38/40/41 are the same connector as are 42/44/45/49

Yes, it will fit fine. The 41mm bands work also with 38mm and 40mm cases; the 45mm bands work also with 42mm, 44mm and 49mm cases. From Apple: Band Compatibility You can match most bands with any Apple Watch Series 3 or newer case of the same size. The 41mm bands work with 38mm and 40mm cases; the 45mm bands work with 42mm, 44mm and 49mm cases. The Solo Loop and Braided Solo Loop bands are only compatible with Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 4 or newer. The 40mm and 41mm cases work with band sizes 1–9; the 44mm and 45mm cases works with band sizes 1–12.

Hello! Sorry if this has already been asked. I got my first iwatch and I'm looking to change the band. I'm searching for an Apple Watch se 2nd gen 40mm, but all my searches come up with a series number at the end. You only need to know the size. You have a 40mm watch, so any band compatible with that size will work. I'd avoid the cheap knockoff thing you listed though, assuming that is one set that they say is compatible with all those sizes. There have been two size classes of Apple Watch over time, smaller (like the 40mm you have) and larger (like the 49mm spec in that listing). These two classes have different-sized bands. Anything that claims to work with both size classes is lying or a POS you don't want. (Also: Apple Watch, not iWatch.)
