I treated myself to a new apple watch, it was delivered last night.
My online order as well as the watches packaging say the band is 'midnight', which looks black online; however, the band i received is a dark blue. I think I received the 'storm blue' band instead.
The apple call center is closed on Sundays, so i thought I'd ask here.
Did i receive the wrong band or is 'midnight' really a navy blue?

I was going to pre order the new series 8 Apple Watch with the white/black Nike sports band and I don’t know what color to get the case. I wanted to purchase the closest color to black but can’t tell if it’s dark blue or black, in some pictures it looks like a dark indigo and others black. The release video made me even more confused. I mostly wear gold jewelry and don’t want to get a silver case because it will clash with the gold. But I also don’t want a gold case because it looks too tacky to me. Can someone please help me with what the closest case color to black is? And is midnight blue or black?
I know people say it’s dark blue and I guess computers have verified that but I only see black.
It’s not black. If you buy it wanting a black watch, you will be disappointed. I can tell you from experience.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think the silver one will clash with your gold jewelry. Silver and gold go great together for a two-tone look. I agree that the gold case is tacky. It will also look worse as it gets scratched up and the plating color fades; silver will look better with age.
Is it just me or do the series 8 colors suck. 7 was decent we had product red green and the cool midnight color. But the series 8 has only the basics and midnight. Not even product red, that was a small downside with series 7 the colors but the colors this year are just terrible.
Is it black or blue? I really thought it was black when I ordered it but today someone told me it's actually dark blue?
