I like to add some colour to tops and will experiment with colours. I find that the colour is not too gold and more towards a mustard. The fit is good and I wear a medium in Arcteryx tops. It can get cold here in winter and I would wear the regular weight hoodies when it is that cold.

September 19, 2022 - I have two of them, but I was able to find both for less than retail, which was well worth it. Although the pilling is a minor nuisance, overall this is an excellent jacket that has served me very well, and I think you’ll like it too.

May 22, 2022 - Build quality: It's impossible to know how this type of jacket will hold up over time, but the stitching and seams are top notch, and the embroidery for the logo on the sleeve and hood is first rate. There wasn't a single rogue strand or thread to be seen anywhere. The biggest competitor to the Kyanite AR Tech Wool is probably the Norrona Falketind Warmwool2. Between the two the Norrona has thumb loops, a slightly denser face fabric feel, and better sealing hem and cuffs. The Arcteryx has a much better hood and collar, and overall fit.

I have literally given away my Kyanite hoodie because it looked so poor (and have gone back to my North Face). For $200, this is unacceptable. So, for the first 2 months I give it 5 stars. For the fact that the durability is garbage, I give it 1 star. So I gave it 2 stars overall. And I own other Arcteryx gear. My raincoat is around 10 years old and still looks great.

September 12, 2025 - The jacket is also easy to move in thanks to the four-way stretchy fabric and articulated patterning. Details such as a lined scuba hood, soft zipper garage at the top of the collar, and flatlock seams really round out the comfort of this design.

The hood fits well and thankfully the sleeves are plenty long. Love the colors too, my only wish is that they also made a pullover/Zip-T version of it. I know Arcteryx has a powerstretch zip in the Rho AR, but the styling on the Kyanite is much better. ... Love the fit, style and weight.

January 18, 2024 - You also did not mention that the previous model had an inner pocket, better inner pocket-material and some reviews claim that it was even warmer than the actual model, the Kyanite AR. But, again, (sorry, continental-European here, that’s why I like to start sentences with ‘but again…’ -_-) my main point is that by letting the wind through, there IS SOME cooling by the jacket, as well as ok-ish-breathability for what it is build: a hybrid comfy (!!), not-too technical, simple-easy hoody, but also a warm (!) jacket, not just for movement but for all life acitivities, not just sport and here the Arc’Teryx (even if it’s known for sports) excels in a way, it might not with any other piece of clothing that they sell.

June 22, 2020 - You are hearing from the convert herself, this fleece is the bee’s knees! I’m so pumped to go into summer to wear this piece more often without layering on top. The crimson colour works so well with my jeans, leggings and shorts. You will not be disappointed if you add the Kyanite to your rotation!
