As it unfortunately does not have a BIOS flashback option, you will need to either wait at least several months for them to start shipping from factory with the newer BIOS, install an older supported CPU to update the BIOS, or purchase a different board.

ROOG STRIX X570-E Gaming - Won't Post/BIOS flashback not working
March 7, 2024 - I looked at the board code and it said "05" so I checked the book and of course 05 is skipped/missing. I tried to download the latest BIOS from the asus site and put that on a Fat32 drive but when I try to "press" the flashback button it doesn't depress down.

r/ASUS on Reddit: What BIOS version is the Asus ROG Strix X570-I Gaming shipping with?
October 9, 2020 -

I've had my eye on this motherboard in preparation for Zen 3. Unfortunately it seems this specific board does not have BIOS flashback. While I am aware there is a BIOS update from August available with the required "AGESA 1.0.8.0" for Zen 3, I'm worried if boards shipped from say, Amazon, have that version preinstalled yet or not. How current (or far behind) are retailers typically? I'd really prefer not to go through the hassle of getting a secondary CPU to update the BIOS.

r/Amd on Reddit: ROG Strix X570-E Gaming update via USB BIOS FlashBack and motherboard power
January 10, 2021 -

Hi I'm new to the forum, I will soon get the ROG Strix X570-E Gaming motherboard that I will use with a Ryzen 7 5800x.

I will have to update the BIOS via the flash button on the back of the motherboard and so far ok, I know how.

2 questions:

- Can I run the BIOS update without CPU via flash button by connecting the motherboard ONLY to the 24 pin cable of the power supply? (i.e. just connect that power source to update the BIOS or do I have to connect the 4 + 4 pin CPU cable too?), this is because I would like to run the BIOS update before mounting the motherboard in the case. Thanks

- Is the penultimate version available 3001 dated 08/12/2020 ok for ryzen 5000?
