I'm in search of a comfortable, well-reviewed glider.
We had a compact swivel glider (Babyletto Madison) with baby #1 because of our small space. It was only comfortable if I had an ottoman or pouf in front to kick my legs up. We have much more space now for baby #2. I'm torn between a rocker/glider recliner or a rocker/glider with swivel (with an ottoman). I don't have any places to test nursery gliders, but I tested a very high-end swivel recliner at Bloomingdales and the seat was too high off the ground and I felt like I had to slide off. I can't imagine how that will feel with the baby. On the other hand, I found the power recliner very easy to get out of in the hospital room.
Here is my criteria:
-I'm 5'1 and my husband is 6 ft, but it's more important that I can sit down and get up easily, so a seat that is around 20" off the ground
-The back needs to be on the higher side so I can comfortably rest my head
-My 3-year-old can occasionally climb in, too. I have wide hips.
-If it is not a recliner, a coordinating ottoman
-Design forward
Thank you!
