Ive never used a screen protector on any phone or device. Just treat them well. If you are concerned about cracks, get a better case. Answer from hawk_ky on reddit.com

June 9, 2023 -

So the one which they apply and provide at the Apple Store is Belkin UltraGlass 2 screen protector, I’ve heard that it’s bit sharp at edges and without using a case it will be a bad experience. I was planning on using a case anyway (UGREEN MagSafe Clear, with military grade protection), so should I get this screen protector although it’s bit expensive? As long as it’s very strong and provides good protection I don’t mind it, or should I consider other third party ones?

r/iPhone16Pro on Reddit: $40 Belkin UltraGlass 2 Screen Protector Recall?
September 20, 2024 -

I think I read something about Apple stopping sales of the Belkin UltraGlass screen protectors a few iPhone generations ago.

I’m on my second replacement (if it ever arrives, see attachment).

Never dropped my phone. Both the original screen protector and the replacement were applied at the store. Both developed chips roughly a week into use.

Is anyone else having the same issues?

Icing on the cake is that Belkin just sent an email saying that it will likely take more than 30 days to send a replacement.

October 1, 2024 -

Hello everyone,

For my iPhone 16 pro, I'm thinking of getting a Belkin screen protector to go along with Apple silicone case. I'm able to buy at the store this model that Belkin has that is InvisiGlass Treated Screen Protector. from my search, it seems like everybody gets the UltraGlass 2 of Belkin. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this InvisiGlass and if it is as good/ wider or smoother as the popular UltraGlass 2. It's advertised as being 62% stronger than tempered glass. Here is the link of Belkin official site

r/iphone on Reddit: My Review Of The Belkin $40 Screen Protector With Installation At The Apple Store
January 31, 2018 -

I just got an iPhone 11 Pro recently and decided to go full overboard on protection and whoring myself out to Apple. After putting on a $6 screen protector and being unsatisfied with the application and quality, I decided to venture to the Apple Store to see what their deal was all about regarding the Belkin $40 screen protector and proprietary application “machine”. Everything went smoothly, but I wanted to write this to tell you about the pros, cons, and other important details.

Pros:

  • Someone else does it for you

  • No bubbles or dust (if done right, I’m sure there are bonehead employees out there who can’t operate the machine)

  • Perfect alignment (almost too perfect, read below)

Cons:

  • $40 for a piece of glass that, in all likelihood, is identical to a 3 pack for $6 on Amazon

  • Not a full screen cover, leaves the notch exposed. You may like this for the front facing camera, but that’s up to you. I think it just pronounces an already goofy looking design flaw.

  • The fit is too good! It’s damn near a replication of the actual screen with a tiny tiny tiny sliver of overflow onto the rest of the front

You may be asking - why is the fit too good a CON? Well, for starters it is felt every time you swipe up, which is obviously all of the time with no home button. Also, since it’s SO close to being the size of the real screen, there’s this weird angle that distorts the OLED brightness because it’s not quite “over” it. Does this make sense? I would prefer a screen protector that covers every single bit up until the case, but I understand that would disable some cases.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW - If you go to the wall of products and select your own screen protector and bring it to the Genius Bar, the genius will simply open it and apply it with his/her own hands.. just like any of us could do. Luckily for me, my genius messed it up and went to the back where he brought out the same protector in a different casing. This one was compatible with their fancy Belkin machines that do it for you.

Overall/TL;DR - Not a bad service. Easily, quick, and expensive. I wouldn’t do it again if my current protector breaks, but it is a nice luxury to have. Please shake down the genius at the store until he/she goes to the back and gets the screen protector that is compatible with their Belkin application device. If they don’t use that, you’re paying $40 for an overpriced piece of glass that will be applied the same way you and I do it - with uncertainty and dust.

Good luck!

r/iphone on Reddit: Belkin UltraGlass screen protector installation experience at Apple Store
September 18, 2022 -

First, make sure you buy this at the Apple Store itself. I did a pickup order which apparently is limited to the home installation one. Ended up cancelling to get it installed in store.

They seemed to install it seamlessly on my 14 Pro Max with their machine, but after looking closely I noticed two very tiny pieces of dust in the corner and one trapped in the edge. They were small enough not to cause air bubbles, and the employee who installed it had to get another employee’s opinion as he couldn’t see it and said he used the sticker to capture all the dust. They said they could either swap it once using their machine, with no guarantee it will be any better, or give me a home installation one. I opted for the machine. Another employee did it this time and it was flawless (probably came down to how they applied the dust removal sticker).

I was reluctant to do this but also spent $40 and knew those little dots would bother me, especially since the last time I got one it was flawless. If you find any issues, have them reinstall a new one.

September 21, 2024 - Very little rainbow effect on the edges, only when the screen is angled significantly, in a way that I wouldn't look at my screen anyway. It's a very good fit overall and it's incredibly smooth. No dust or specks under the protector either.

r/iphone on Reddit: Belkin vs FloLabs vs Spigen for screen protectors
October 10, 2021 -

will be receiving my 13 pro soon.

Currently my 13 mini is using a belkin screen protector which is a simple one that doesnt cover the lenses. So far okay, but took a bit of effort to get the air bubbles out

For my Pro, been thinking of trying some other brands. I've heard hit or miss things about flolabs.. either being very good or misleading marketing. it also uses a tempered glass style protector

the Spigen models Ive seen are also similar but they cover the entire screen and sensors (again not sure if good or bad)

anyone with experience with all 3?

September 12, 2025 - The only Belkin screen protector that the Apple Store is selling (whether with a self-applicator box or a machine-applicator kit in the Apple Store) is the Belkin UltraGlass2. There is no privacy screen protector or no matte anti-glare one this year. The Belkin official website does list other models, but those are not sold at the Apple Store.

r/iPhone16 on Reddit: Spigen or Belkin? Which Screen Protector Fits Better on iPhone 16 with Ultra Hybrid Case?
May 22, 2025 -

I bought the iPhone 16 along with the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case for iPhone 16. Now, I’m considering getting a tempered glass screen protector, but I’m a bit unsure.

Spigen offers one dedicated for the iPhone 15/16 — the Glass TR EZ Fit — with a 9H hardness, a thickness of 0.2 mm, and dimensions of 14.2 x 6.55 cm. However, after reading some reviews, it seems to be smaller than others and reportedly doesn’t cover the screen well.

The case itself is compatible with screen protectors that are smaller than 14.44 x 6.83 cm, so technically it should fit without issues, but the smaller size of the Spigen glass is making me reconsider.

For comparison, the glass for the older iPhone 14 model had dimensions of 14.31 x 6.79 cm — noticeably larger than the one offered for the iPhone 16.

Because of that, I started thinking about the Belkin SF UltraGlass2 AM Treated 1-Pack, which is compatible with iPhone 16 / 15 / 14 Pro. It has a thickness of 0.29 mm, a 9H hardness rating, and slightly larger dimensions of 14.24 x 6.67 cm — closer to full coverage but still within the case's compatibility range.

What do you think about this? Does anyone have experience with this—are the dimensions of the Spigen glass actually smaller, and if so, why is that the case compared to protectors made for older models?

September 29, 2025 -

Hi everyone,

I got the iPhone 17 Pro Max right at launch and, as every year, had the Belkin UltraGlass screen protector applied.

Right away I noticed it felt much harder and rougher than usual, and the display didn’t look 100% sharp anymore—more like 97% with a slight graininess.

Today I went to the Apple Store and they confirmed that this year the screen protectors are different and come with a new coating.

So in case anyone else was wondering, here’s the official info.

A screen protector invariably gets dropped or scratched by keys, coins or sand in pockets. In short, it’s the tech accessory that gets no respect. January 21, 2017 - I always get my Belkin protector applied in store when I get a new iPhone so I have it. People seem to have a few misconceptions about this thing when looking at the comments here and the ratings on Apple's website. First, this thing is really thin. That makes it less durable than your average 3$ glass protector, but combined with the flattened edges that I haven't found on any other glass screen protector gives a feeling of almost being unnoticeable.
