I wasn’t happy with the costs for shopify for my specific business, which is sort of small and closer to a hobby, it’s already reached the size I wanted and i don’t need to keep growing it. I went with a simple website made with Wordpress and a woo commerce shop. Using free templates and tools only. There was a learning curve, but no coding. I managed to do everything I needed without paying for plugins or premium anything. I miss some small features, but I’m satisfied with the workarounds I found. I already had a hosting package and a domain, so no extra cost there. I did update my hosting plan, since the shop was slow on my very basic plan, but it wasn’t much. I’m using hostinger. I'm planning to launch a small online store and would love some advice. I’m pretty new to e-commerce, so I’m looking for a platform that’s beginner-friendly but still professional enough to grow with me. I'm hoping to find something easy to set up without needing coding skills, preferably with free or affordable options to start.
I'm also curious about platforms that have built-in payment processing, customizable templates, good mobile responsiveness, and useful marketing tools like abandoned cart recovery or email marketing. It would be great if the platform also integrates easily with social media like Instagram or Facebook Shops.

Shopify is king for a reason. Start with that. Optionally if money is a major issue, you can use a secondary email to start a "draft account" and learn. You will find you have a ton of things to do before launch. Use that account to experiment, play, fuck around. Then use your main email and start a new account, so you go straight into it and maximize your free months.
