With the home theater seating we're generally going to be reclining, but there are times we'd like to actually be able to cuddle up. However most loveseat recliners have that rigid hump in the middle for the console (which we like, but just wished it was stowable). The only thing I'm seeing with a seamless, stowable console between recliners is a full sofa product. The problem is this is a small room so we'll be sitting ~10ft away and don't want to push the viewing angle out for the primary seating any more than necessary. Anyone seen a product that fits the bill?
My wife and I have been kicking around the idea of getting recliners for our living room for a while now. Our couch just isn't comfortable to lounge on for any longer than half an hour or so while watching TV. We just went to a movie in one of those fancy theaters with power reclining seats. This is them right here. They were amazing. They had cupholder armrests on the outside and a single armrest in the middle that folded up if you wanted to sit a little closer together.
I'm pretty sure those loveseats are going to run like $1,000 or more and that's more than I would like to spend. What's out there in the way of a reclining love seats with a fold-up/retractable middle armrest (or no middle armrest) for <$700 that's comfortable and durable? Doesn't have to be leather. Needs to be modern/contemporary style (clean lines... no frills... no big puffy chairs).
If there's nothing for <$700, give me something that's as cheap as you know that's still a good buy.
We're looking to buy with whatever Christmas money we come up with. Any help would be very much appreciated.
NOTE: Used search and couldn't find anything about this.
My husband and I are trying to design a cozy TV room in our bonus room with limited space. We sat in this loveseat today and it was by far the most comfortable of the loveseats we tried. However, I don't want something hideous/tacky. Is a reclining console loveseat a terrible idea from an esthetics/design standpoint? Would a cream colored fabric make it less ugly? An alternative we are considering is a couple of chairs with a narrow side table in between.
We currently have a leather loveseat that is one of those dual recliners with a center console you often see in most common furniture stores. One of the scissor reclining mechanisms broke on one recliner. And the “leather match” they put on the sides has ripped in multiple places terribly from the friction of the recliners rubbing against it.
Today my wife and I went to various furniture stores, and these types of loveseats are still most common. They are all very comfortable and look nice. However I am so worried about motors going out, and “leather match” surfaces ripping.
One place we went to today sells Flexsteel. It was a model called the Henry. I was in love with the comfort. But from seeing other Reddit posts it seems like Flexsteel is garbage Chinese junk now?
I am getting really disheartened by all of this. I just want a good piece that’s comfortable, but still quality, and a reasonable price point. Are we just out of luck?
Hey everyone!
Im looking for a love seat recliner but not just any online... Was hoping someone else on here owned one they could recommend!
I have chronic severe back pain and though a lot of the ones on wayfair, ashley's etc look amazing... I'm worried that they would be poor on my back after an extended period of time. im looking for Just something comfortable to lounge in for hours would be optimal, it doesnt need to be special but I just would like first-hand thoughts on recliners you guys have either tried or owned and were able to relax in for hours! It can be manual or power but my wife would just perfer one with a USB to charge her phone, perferred if there was no center console however but not completely against it and lastly I would like anything other than leather to be the upholstry.
My budget is in the ball park of 1000$ USD, and my rooms door width is approximately 30 inches.
Any rec is appreciated thank you!
