r/ecommerce on Reddit: What's the best dropshipping course or Youtuber you follow?

I don't mean some guru who's taking pictures of rented lambo's btw. I find it's growing harder and harder to find trustworthy sources of info in the dropshipping and even e-commerce world in general with too many snake oil salesmen popping their heads up.

Is there any course you've bought or youtuber you've followed who you can say has made a considerable difference to your business?

r/dropshipping on Reddit: What is the best dropshipping course right now? (either paid or free)
August 28, 2025 -

Hey everyone,

I’ve seen so many ads and gurus promoting their courses, but it’s hard to know which ones are actually worth the time and money. I’m not looking for marketing pitches — I want to hear from people who’ve personally taken a dropshipping course (paid or free) and can share their real experience.

  • Which course or mentorship did you try?

  • What did you actually learn vs. what was just fluff?

  • Did it help you make your first sales or scale an existing store?

  • Was the support/community/mentorship genuinely useful?

  • If it was free, did it cover enough to get started? If paid, was it worth the investment?

I’m fine with any recommendations (English or Spanish), but I’d really appreciate feedback based on real results, not just hearsay.

Thanks in advance — this will probably help a lot of us who are trying to cut through the noise!

I am brand new to drop shipping. I’ve been trying to learn what I can through free courses and YouTube but I think I’m ready to invest in a proper course.

What are courses you’ve found and loved? Those that taught you a lot from start to finish.

Or even beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses? Thanks

January 13, 2025 -

Hey guys hope yall are doing well

After watching a lot of YouTube videos and spending countless hours of research, I realized it was time to stop trying to make money with dropshipping from YouTube videos.

Now im considering buying a good course where everything is explained to the detail and where there is some support from the people who already made it without gatekeeping the important infos which i obviously don’t know since i spent a ton of money but made non.

Does anybody have some infos about which courses are good and explain the whole process and offer support when its needed? I dont mind paying more for it just to get the information needed.

Thanks for the support!

I'm not talking about 300$ courses that really don't offer anything new, more like free or 10-30$ ones that you feel are really helpful and actually offer information you can't find online easily..

They can be about dropshipping in general or a single aspect of dropshipping they elaborate on.

I know they aren't necessary but I've been through so much free information and I've built a solid base of knowledge that I would like to expand.

Internet is loaded with Dropshipping Gurus selling us courses and contents on Dropshipping. The most infamous of them are : • Ecom King • Dan Vas Ecom Freedom Shopify Master's • Nathan Nazareth • Some of them promising Mentorship programs till the time you start generating $10,000 per month (Sales or maybe Revenue) Most of them have these common Traits : • Shopify • Facebook Ads or any other kinds of Paid Traffic • Aliexpress So I want to know from you guys which E-commerce Entrepreneurs or Dropshipping Gurus is worthy to learn from? (Not necessarily the one's I listed) Lastly Two More questions

  1. Is it Compulsory or Necessary to take Dropshipping Course With so much contents out their nowadays about Dropshipping ? I know that since they've been very much into this business they know the ins and outs of this business and all the mistakes that beginners can or may make. But since their are lots of scammers out their how to safeguard ourselves from that ?

  2. While Dropshipping how do you deal with Charge backs and customer complaints and returns personally? And finding Reliable suppliers on sites other than Aliexpress? P.S. About Dan Vas many people I have read few blogs reviewing his Course on Shopify saying that they're not comprehensive enough and just like other Dropshipping Gurus he shows Sales Dashboards of his Students but not the Profits and Expenses. What's your take on that ?

October 17, 2022 - If you really want to buy a course, I would not pay more than $500 and I would look up legitimate reviews. Most 5 star reviews are fake and easy to spot. I have a ton of free content on Dropshipping Hustle if you want to learn without paying a cent.

I’ve been trying to learn dropshipping for a while now and it feels like YouTube just scratches the surface. Most videos are super basic or skip over the real actionable stuff.

I’m open to learning from a paid course if it’s worth it, but there’s so much out there and I don’t know which ones actually go deep.

If anyone here has found any solid courses or learning paths (even alternatives to YouTube), would love to hear what worked for you.

Don’t learn ‘dropshipping’. All the stuff out there is rubbish. And definitely don’t do a course as you’ll be taught that rubbish stuff. Learn the basic business fundamentals. The stuff every successful business is built on. Like with anything in life that starts with Google—‘advertising 101’, ‘business finance 101’, ‘how do I start a business in [country]’. Be curious, as you read stuff go down the rabbit holes and Google and read more stuff. The tactics and stuff with materialise and become apparent as you go, but it’s no good understanding how to change the budget in Ad Manager if you don’t know how or why to advertise. Here’s a checklist I put together a while back that should push you in the right direction. As I mention in the first point—nobody is going to hold your hand; you need to educate yourself and get comfortable figuring things out. To be successful in business you need to be self-motivated. You need to have, or develop a bias for figuring shit out and getting it done. If you expect your arse to be wiped, or to be spoonfed, this ain't for you. Set a goal. Different goals require different approaches. No good employing an approach that's all about churn-'n'-burn if your goal is to build a long-term, sustainable business. Avoid dropbro guru douches. They don't give a fuck about you. They want your money so they can fund their tacky poser lifestyles. And all they're doing is sharing the same, regurgitated junk content as one another. Study some of your favourite businesses. Understand how they started, what made them successful, and how they've grown. Do what they did. Understand business fundamentals. I'm talking the basics of setting up a business/company, the basics of advertising, marketing, merchandising, operations, and so on. Start by googling things like 'advertising 101' and sending yourself down all the rabbit holes. Read some books. Yep, real books—the audiobook version is perfectly fine. Some of my favs include 7 Powers by Helmer, How Brands Grow by Sharp, Stark Naked Numbers by Andrew, Blue Ocean Strategy by Mauborgne and Chan Kim, Purple Cow by Godin. Take your time. Successful businesses take time. Don’t jump on the low-quality ‘select a winning product, spin up a crappy website’ bandwagon as you’ll fail. Scroll the e-commerce and dropshipping groups on Reddit. Look at all the '100 people viewed my website but I have no sales' posts—there's loads of them. These are people that read some dropshipping playbook or watched some dropdouches on YouTube and thought they struck gold. But no. Start looking for business opportunities close to home. Study niches and categories you’re connected to—hobbies, areas of expertise, etc. Where are you already a savvy customer? Leverage what you know, what you like, what you're good at. There needs to be a ‘why’ behind what you do and you need to deliver something compelling and competitive to the market or you’ll be quickly chewed up and spat out. The world doesn't really need another store selling resistant bands from AliExpress, especially when it's undifferentiated and you're selling the same crap, the same way, alongside the same hopefuls, to the same fatigued and clued-up customers. Solve a customer problem or do something new, interesting, or different. That doesn't mean inventing something. Sure, if you invent a better solution to a problem, you're miles ahead. But, it can be as straight-forward as coming up with a superior retail proposition than what's on the market. This links back to #9. [Example: Mecca Cosmetics is held up by the Australian retail community as the 'best practice'. They sell brand name beauty products but and famously don't price discount as ruthlessly than their competition. They entered the market when beauty was monopolised by department stores and set out to provide an engaging, exciting, and immersive retail experience. They have exclusivity agreements with some of the biggest brands out their, one of the best loyalty programs in the world, and have a really strong private label program.] You need capital. Sure, plenty of businesses have started with $0 but they're outliers. The reality is, you do need to set up a business/company. You will need to incur various start up costs. If you personally don’t bring anything to the table you’ll up your chances of failure. Work out what your superpower is and leverage it. Can’t think of something? Why get into business? The more shortcuts you take, the less self-motivation you possess, the more cheap tactical materials you try to learn from—the lower the rate of success. Set yourself up for success if you want to succeed.

You do not need to pay for any course. All the info you need is in YT. What you really need to pay for is CRO and Paid ads. It's the only 2 stats that will allow your dropshipping business scale from 0 to $100k.
