I am in no way knowledgeable and experienced in the fireplace industry. I’ve learned about all this through my previous Reddit posts and google. You all have steered me away from basic logs. We are looking to maximize efficiency and heat our entire living room.
Also decided I want the direct vent option.
Give me all your recommendations please!
We just purchased a house with traditional wood burning fireplace and we would like to convert it into a gas insert. A local installer recommended the Enviro E series. We really know nothing about gas insert makers and it's so hard to find any reviews online. There are some reviews on Houzz which are mostly negative but Im not sure how much we can trust those reviews. The installer also suggested Majestic Ruby series. Is anyone familiar with these two brands and know about the quality? Which one would you recommend or neither? Thank you
We're rapidly approaching a few selection dates on interior features/appliances and I'm a bit overwhelmed with our current task; the fireplace. We're running a natural gas (NG) setup if that helps at all.
Our builder uses a local supplier and we're headed there this weekend to see units in person. The supplier offers the following brands:
Ambiance
Heatilator
Mendota
Regency
Enviro
Kingsman
Montigo
White Mountain Hearth
European Home
Marquis Collection (by Kingsman)
Napoleon
Does anyone have any praise of horror to share on any of the above brands? We're leaning towards a 3-side-viewable unit (multiple glass walls) as it is centrally located in our floorplan and I'd like to be able to see it from the living room, kitchen, and eating space. Any and all information is welcomed and appreciated!
