To my fellow makeup / self-care enthusiasts,
I’m turning to you for guidance, as I have failed twice (thus far) in my quest for a makeup mirror that provides good illumination in low-light conditions.
Here is an example of a purchase that I returned as it did not provide enough light for me to get ready with ease -
KMART MIRROR - WHITE (LED *Warm: 3000K / 128.6 lumens / 11.62W Natural: 4200K / 133.5 lumens / 11.16W Cool: 6500K / 138.1 lumens / 11.65W)

Hi OP, I completely understand your frustration! I tried many mirrors but also came across the same issue. What is your budget? I’ve had this mirror for several years now ( https://www.luvostore.com.au/products/wanderluxe-mirror ). It’s abit pricy, but it’s actually fantastic. I can use it as the only source of light in my bedroom. There are also different types of lighting (warm and cool lighting) options. I hope this helps!

Hi! I had a similar issue, my room is quite dark in the mornings, and particularly so in winter. I didn’t want to spend too much so I bought an Embellir mirror (25 x 30cm version) with the inbuilt LED strip, rather than the lightbulbs. It’s really good and I love it.

May 19, 2024Best LED mirror for makeup vanity? Looking for a makeup mirror for my 16 year old stepdaughter. If you have one of these mirrors, what is the most useful feature? Ability to cycle through different warm/cool lights? Size of mirror? Ability to tilt the angle? Additional panels for magnification?
I’ve been on the hunt for a vanity setup for the last year.. after a some research I decided against the small impression vanity mirrors. The smallest one feels really cheap, and the lighting is almost useless. I’m still looking, good luck!

Recommendations for a lighted, magnifying makeup mirror? I’ve had a simple human for years and I hate it. It never stays charged OR the light never stays on. This subreddit wants me to add more words or else it will be removed so if you have a mirror you recommend, especially with a magnifying feature, since my eyes are getting older, I’d appreciate it!

I have one from Costco, maybe a Conair?, but refuse to use one that’s a touch light. Those aays break after a few months for me. Old fashioned switch for me.
