I’m in the market for the best mini PC that will have no problems with whatever games I play, or work I am doing. I’ve looked at the Apple studio M3 ultra, beelink SER9 and others. Any suggestions?

Why not a desktop? Are you constrained by space? If you want to play the top games, you need a specialist graphics card. None of the mini's will be able to handle that unless you have some sort external dock/GPU. If space is not an issue, then get a proper gaming desktop with good graphics card.

I have the Beelink GTR 7 Pro. For the compact size the performance is incredible. Typically play AAA. Have the TDP boosted to 85 watts with a slight overclock. X86 Universal Tuning Utility makes it super simple to get the maximum performance. Really like the GTR 7 flow thru design as it runs cooler than many other Mini PCs. Thermals are something to consider if you are using a Mini PC for gaming.

So recently, I’ve been looking at mini pcs, came across the minisforum um890 and everything looks pretty good. This is my first time buying a mini pc so I wanted to know whether minisforum is a reliable brand, kind of interested in other brands such as asus. Need the mini pc for light gaming, some work and video watching.

Be aware that just about all of the mini pc brands you see on Amazon, Newegg, and especially Aliexpress along with other websites are Chinese brands. Minisforum and Beelink are arguably the most well known Chinese brands. Tech support is mostly done via email or at best discord and english will not be their first language. If warranty service is required, then the mini pc needs to be shipped back to China and you will likely pay for shipping in both directions. I have a Minisforum EliteMini TH50 bought in May 2022 and Beelink SER4 bought in July 2022. No issues with them other than in January 2023 I had to do a Windows recovery for the SER4 because it failed to boot into Windows; no data was lost. The UM890's Radeon 780m iGPU is a bit overkill for the e-sport games you listed in one of your posts. It is good enough to play Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p at medium settings and using FRS 2 (AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution) to upscale the graphics from a lower resolution like 720p to 1080p with good performance and graphics still looking pretty decent.
