Yeah I know it's not ideal but we do have a sofa bed for guests and the mattress is not comfy, even though we ordered it with their higher quality memory foam mattress. Any recommendations for a replacement? It's a queen size, but it not a standard queen. We had purchased an additional foam topper for it and had to cut off a few inches as it was too long for the bed.

I bought a couchbed for my guest room, and my guests always comment on how comfortable it is. Note that it's only about 10 inches thick and so when folded into a couch it's an extremely low one. Hey everyone,
I’m on the hunt for a sleeper sofa that’s comfortable for daily use, not just occasional guests. Ideally, it should have:
Good mattress/support, something you can actually sleep on every night.
Durable frame, I don’t want it sagging after a few months.
Style that fits a modern living room, bonus if it’s not huge or clunky.
Easy to open/close, and preferably not a huge hassle to make the bed each day.
I’ve been looking at a few options like Lovesac Sactionals, Joybird sleeper sofas, and IKEA Friheten, but I’d love to hear from people who actually use theirs every day.
Which sleeper sofas do you swear by for daily comfort? Any models to avoid? Tips on mattress types or brands would be amazing too.

For longevity, the IKEA Lycksele is a great choice. Metal frame will last for ever. A proper slatted bed base - sleeper sofas with other designs tend to sag or compress over time. Slats and mattress on the Lycksele can easily be replaced if needed. I find it very comfy to sleep on. I have a few underbed storage boxes under mine.

I would suggest either a Murphy bed with a sofa in front or a day bed. You can get whatever mattress you like though I would recommend something fairly firm. During the day you can get a matching coverlet and put some throw pillows on. It will be like an extra deep sofa.
