Just use whatever you already have on your phone or computer. iMovie iOS or Mac. Windows movie maker on windows. Stick to those until you nail the basics. Casey neistat was using iMovie well into him becoming a very well regarded filmmaker. The more advanced software is just going to distract you. As for thumbnails just use keynote on a Mac. OBS is by far the best thing you can get for recording. You can download OBS From their website, if you are just recording, OBS studio is all you need. If you plan on streaming, look into the streamelements plugin, its pretty neat. For editing, you can use DaVinci Resolve. It's really gotten better over the past year, and it's getting to the point where some people even like it better than Premier Pro. (I'm not there yet, but my friends are making want to switch over and save some money)
