Ever since I connected my pc to my tv I have been loving playing games on the couch with a controller. But some games feel better with m&k, fps games what not. Wondering if anyone does the same thing and uses a Bluetooth m&k to get the job done. Googling has given me a ton of gimmicky BS.

Looking for a good price/value. No need for high end caps or something. Just a robust kb for couch gaming that will last a few years.
Thanks in advance
Sorry for being vague. I'm looking at Logitech but don't know which. MX Keys looks good for under 100. Or the Rapoo 9900M. I already have the mouse and it's pretty good.
look into the logitech g614. It's about 60 or 70 on amazon, has mechanicalish switches, 2.4 wireless so little lag but also bluetooth which is nice if you want to use it for something else. I have one I'm replacing. The issue is the keys start repeating after a few years. It seems to be an ongoing problem but probably fits your needs well.
I got the SD as gift from my SO recently and it made me fall in love with gaming again. It made me organize my steam library into a semi realistic backlog of games I actually will play and stuff I probably won't ever touch. Ironically, that backlog has nearly doubled in size over the last two months as this new drive to play games does not mix well with constant sales. However something that I find is that so many games in my backlog that I actively want to play tend to be first person.
My issue here is that, although I played on console for years, that was about 10 years ago now, and I just can't for the life of me get used to controller again for first person games. I tried Doom and Cyberpunk and it was like handing a controller to my dad back in the day. So ironically, for the most part the SD has just made me play more games on my PC than before.
Now I know gyro exists and maybe I just need to play around with it more, but when I tried it, I really did not gel with it at all. So what I'm thinking of is a couch setup for wireless mouse and keyboard. Looking around I see there are a few "couchmaster" products that cost around $150 and a Corsair one that costs a few hundred. Tbh those seem WAY over the top. All I really want is a little cushioned platform that's steady enough and has enough real-estate to hold a wireless keeb (60% will do) + mouse.
Anyone else run into issues with first person games and controller/steam deck? If so what is/was your solution? Gittin gud? Gyro? Trackpad? Wireless k+m?
Title basically says it all. I've been using a wireless keyboard and mouse for a while now to play games on my 55" tv, the keyboard finally gave out yesterday and I'm getting tired of using books as mouse pads.
Price range around 20 - 50
I'd recommend the Roccat Sova.
There's also the Razer Turret and Corsair Lapdog, but I really think Roccat's design is superior (better palmrest than Corsair, better keyboard /mouse pad than Razer)
All the lapboard solutions are pretty expensive. If you can stretch to it, the Roccat Sova is absolutely worth it, but it's lots of $$$.
Your best bet would be to pick up a cheap shelf from IKEA and get whatever kb&m fits your budget.
I have built a great gaming PC, but want to start doing a bit more casual gameplay from the couch (Hearthstone/Overwatch/Etc). I've got a great gaming mouse and mechanical keyboard, but haven't dabbled with something that would work on the couch. I'm probably needing to reliably cover a distance of 8-12 feet I'd guess?
Any really.
Best wireless keyboard and mouse I've used is the Logitech G line. I can't tell a difference at all in performance moving from wired Corsair products, and the battery life is awesome (though I would still recommend using rechargeable batteries to save the planet).
I can't say if it works across 12 feet since I've never tried it but I would bet they are your best shot.
