Just purchased a home and typically haven’t struggled much with design but this home is entirely black and white. All white walls, and all of the wood trim and beams have been painted black (I know, I wouldn’t have done that myself but we loved the character of the home still).

Our kitchen and living room flow together and make up a lot of our main floor in our home and I’m trying to find ways to add color. I struggle with the all black trim and gray floors because I gravitate towards warm toned design, very 70s inspired, jewel tones, lots of wood tones, etc.

I’ve included pictures of the kitchen and living room, ignore the furniture in the image that shows the fireplace in the kitchen- I just didn’t have a good image that showed the fireplace so used one from the listing. I’ve also included some style inspiration pics from Pinterest! Besides full on construction and changing the floors (they are brand new, I wish they weren’t gray but it would be super expensive to replace at this point), anything is fair game - painting cabinets, painting trim, painting walls, adding wood features, pops of color, artwork, rugs, etc. I so so so appreciate every single idea anyone can share!! ❤️❤️❤️
