Customer reviews for Bose Surround Sound Speakers 700 for Bose Soundbars, Black | Walmart.com
... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tall and slim very stylish looking finish but surprisingly powerful audio output. Combined with the Bose 700 Bass and sound bar this bundle is the closest you will get to a 5.1 surround system without all the clutter of wires.
Thoughts on the 700 companion speakers
They are not recommended, as they were released prior to the SB900 and are not Dolby atmos compatible. I would recommend waiting for Bose to release atmos rear speakers before spending any money at all More on reddit.com
Bose 700 surround speakers worth the money to add to Bose 900 soundbar and bass module 700?
Impersonally waiting until Bose gets their s**t together and releases a pair of surrounds designed for the current generation of soundbars… so in other words I’ll never have surround speakers :( More on reddit.com
Added Bose Surround Speakers 700 to my Soundbar 900 w Bass Module 700 and here's what I think.
The existence of the 700 surrounds annoys me more than it should. The price of the bar alone, $800ish, okay I sort of get that. 6x woofers, 3x tweeters, big metal and glass build, good software integration, smart home mics, it's a premium thing. But 2x tiny drivers face to face inside a tiny metal tube for $600, no way. Worst value I've ever seen. For comparison, a $500 pair of Sonos Era 100's can be paired with the the Arc and they are so dramatically better as surrounds it's not even close. More on reddit.com
Bose Surround 700 Issues
It is unlikely you will get 5.1 from an audio source, seeing as it is normally recorded in stereo and not in 5.1. If it was recorded in Dolby Stereo then the SoundBar will use the function of Dolby Surround (used to be known as Dolby Pro-Logic) to up mix it so you get sound out of the rear speakers but you will only get high frequency sound as that is all the speakers are designed to do and also that is all that Dolby Surround will send to them. This is because rear speakers in a 5.1, 7.1, 5.1.2 etc are only meant to produce atmospheric sounds such as wind, rain, people cheering in the background etc. You will only make the full benefit of the speakers if you listen to 5.1 audio from a film and from the Blu-ray / DVD disc or streaming service such Netflix / Sky Movies etc and when the film was originally recorded in 5.1 or above (excluding films / TV programmes that have been remastered where in this case a whole new audio track has often replaced the original one, purposely so it is in 5.1 rather than mono or stereo). When the soundtrack is sold separately from the film such as on CD for example, this is normally only recorded in stereo. If you are listening to 5.1 films and are still getting low audio from the rear speakers, please check TV settings and settings on the device the film is coming from, such as Blu-Ray player / Sky Box / Roku stick etc and make sure that the audio output is set to either something that says Dolby or DTS or Auto. Make sure that this setting is not set as PCM, stereo or normal. On some cable / satellite boxes the default setting for this setting for some reason is set as normal or stereo, even though the cable / satellite box is capable of sending the audio in 5.1. So check this setting. Please also check the content you are listening to is recorded in 5.1, for example films made before around the time of 1985, it is unlikely you will get any audio out of the rear speakers and if you do, it will be very quiet. You will also not get any audio out of the rear speakers From a film made after 1985 when the main characters are only talking and there is no "action" going on or music. If you want the rear speakers to produce the same audio as what comes out of the SoundBar speakers (which is audio that is destined for the centre channel and front left and right channel) you will not be able to, as the Bose SoundBar does not support Quadrophonic audio or multi channel stereo (aka all channel stereo). There are A/V receivers that are capable of doing this where the audio signal is divided into the number of speakers you have connected (which in your case would be 5, not including the sub). When this happens all speakers effectively become a mono speaker and are all sent the exact same audio and frequencies. However this does not mean that you will hear the exact same frequencies and audio because quite often the speakers are of different sizes and each set of speakers will have a different limitation of the highest and lowest frequencies they can actually then produce. When an audio track is recorded in stereo, it means that only information has been destined for either the front right and / or front left speaker. If the audio was recorded using Dolby or DTS, then the Dolby Surround or DTS Neural technology inside the SoundBar or any other A/V receiver will attempt to send what it believes will sound effective to the rear speakers or any other speakers you have connected. This will normally only be high frequency audio to the rear speakers, this is because that is what rear speakers in a 5.1 setup were meant to do. They were never meant to produce the same audio that is destined for the front left and right channel and / or centre channel I am afraid. More on reddit.com

r/bose on Reddit: Thoughts on the 700 companion speakers
April 1, 2022 -
Hey y’all
we have the 900 soundbar, 700 subwoofer and now we are looking into the 700 companion speakers + Omni jewel stands. I was reading reviews and I was getting mixed opinions from people. Some say the speakers are quiet and not worth it and others say they’re amazing and loud and worth every penny.
Can someone that owns or owned these help me figure out whether they are worth it?
Thanks!

Another thing you can do it's buy a pack of Magnum condoms and slip those on the rear 700's before starting the Adaptiq program. Slip them on really slow and gently. You don't want to end the party before it gets going. Fill the entire bass ports in the 500 or 700 bass modules with whip cream from an aerosol can, you could probably even use pudding.. just something with that consistency..cat vomit, whatever you have handy. I had to use 4 cans per sub. I made my Tinder date do it because I just wanted to relax. Men should relax more and remind women from the beginning of time they are biologically responsible for completing any task men find even minimally annoying or beneath their intelligence. The proof of that is that once a woman gives birth to a child, that child only wants the mother's help, milk and codeling, its totally cool with the father being gone as often as possible, it just wants to drink as much milk stored in a woman's teet as is physically possibly, showing an immediate disregard for how painful and raw her nipples get, and highlighting that even as a newborn, human's are nothing but also like manipulative preservationalists. They can never actually live with another person for long unless that person gives up something fantastic and universally rare in return. It's in the bible, Koran, Vedic texts, etc. Make women work for free, their reward is your protection and their reward is having their offspring gain the unbelievBly priceless gift of getting to listen to ideas stemming from the much larger and superior brains that a man possesses. Since the wire is so long for the listening unit, walk as far as you can from your tv that is possible where it still says it registers sound and stuff the headset in your underpants. Walk away so far, you forget about the abuse and trauma of your childhood. Forget that there isn't a single thing in this world that makes even a small amount of sense or difference; or can actually trick you into thinking that's worth while. Remind yourself, things that make you happy now will eventuly make you as miserable as they did make you happy time a thousand, in a very exact sliding scale, with absolutely no exceptions. But let's get back to making your Chi-fi Bose surround system sounding as good as it possibly can considering they tried to use the cheapest parts available bound by the chains of the suffering 3rd world country workers who will surely die an earlier death granting you the gift of sub par surround sound. The same kind of global saves that were born to make a corporation symbol like the Golden Arches of Mcdonalds given a much greater than the forgettable lives of yourself and your last 5 ancestors.. Did you make a delicious quasi burger that's costs a dollar and be made in 5 seconds. Hell no you didn't. How well you set up your Bose surround sound system directly correlates with your ability to be a good provider and leader of an industrious, disciplines and incredibly brief but productive life. It doesn't seem like it, but every day you wake up, there's another wrinkle, one more mole, an erratic previously unrecognized shrivel in your testicle sack. A stress mark, or infinitely worse a STRETCH mark. I'd rather hang out in a room full of silver fish that explode every 5 minutes in a mist of botulism than view a woman's stretch marks.. or white hair that very slowly reminds you of your own inevitable mortality. This is why once a man gets old, they will absolutelyand justifiably leave you for a 20 year old. It's easy for us to do, and it makes us quickly forget your poor attitude and more prominent weingles and looseness. It makes us happy, just like setting up this Bose surround sound system and actually getting it set up perfectly. Robbing the cradle for us is just making a good investment while selling of a sinking investment. Love is based on Blockchain logic and financial aging interest, surround sound audio is based on similar cheap enjoyment. Staying with an older woman you expose yourself to a similar fate of Jack in the Titanic - an indifferent and freezing death at the clamy hands of a Rose-like character. She felt a small amount of joy letting Leo sink in the frozen waters of the Atlantic. Everyone with eyes that could see, noticed that the enormous floating door she was chilling on could have fit a family of 5; and ceratinly had more than enough room for the two of them. This give a boy child the slimmest if images of a terrible future truth, That the ideal woman is usually a classic narcissist that would never risk anything if it meant marring their popularity or their desireability. (Kate Winslett understood well, her charm, ability to be trained for any suitor supplanted the idea of attempting to disable a young man who snuck/lucked onto a cruise he could never ordinarily have afforded. Her immediate reaction was that the continuouation of her own life was better than trying to save a one night stand, and that the bad karmic feeling Ms would last 4 days at most; in which she could fein diarrhea and the uncomfortable experience of watching the Titanic sink. At this stage of setting ofmp your Bose Adaptiwmque system, You have to do bring the headband you have stuffed in your pants in 5 different listening locations around your living room. I'd rather catch Covid 19 150 times than trust in this atrocious app, that Bose will probably never update - but your basic goal is to allocate the room dimensions in a really in scientific manner. Basically YOUR size, since it's in your pants. If you want the room size to feel like it has a larger room soundstage, grab your much younger Tinder date you pray to the devil every night that your wife doesn't find out about, and practice some of the more complicated Kamasutra positions that you can with her while switching positions when the Adaptique asks you to. You have to do this 5 times in 5 different positions in the room; and I recommend really giving it your all like you used to do in your college years. I got mixed results.. but it still sounds a million times better than what bose suggests to do in their original manual of directions. Always trust an erection OVER a direction and that the only real law we've broken in the universe was allow a half African halk Mexican actor okay an Elf in the Kord of the Rings Prequale. I think my way has more benefits because if you are born naturally good at finding the perfect vibration than both you and you're new guest you have come over from Tinder ever night can match these 5 magical acoustic positions with the alignment of the sun as it sets over the Great Shyonx in Egypt - keep running the Adaptique 5 position sequence; do it and it could a revelotionary erotic experience. Additionally, if you have cats.. please just move them into another room.. that constant vibrating) beeping noise the system puts out can really hurt their ears. And Cats are better than humans in every way, treat the with respect. Bose you have cursed us all with your attempt at entering the surround sound, soundbar market. If you don't learn from these mistakes you might lead the path of the future of the human imrace in the most terrible of linear timelines. Think before you build, think before you program. Pretend you are a loyal customer for once mine I used to be.

Two wireless receivers accompany the speakers to facilitate a wireless connection to the soundbar. Once connected, you have a premium acoustic setup to complement the powerful performance of the soundbar. Want another compact option to kick the performance up a notch? Adding a bass module — like the Bose Bass Module 500 or the Bose Bass Module 700 — can complete the package for full, room-rocking sound.
