Sony people always want to use specs and make it seem like it matters. The EOS are has 3 fps more when using the mechanical shutter, and equal frame rate when using mechanical shutter and tracking AF.

Everyone will preach mirrorless but at least take a look at the 90D if you're interested in hybrid photo + video. The video specs are better than the RP and it has some of it's own perks for photos too (mainly if you're shooting wildlife/action/sports).

Hi there. I have an RP as a backup/secondary camera to my primary EOS R. In a lot of ways the RP is like a full-frame M50. They both share a lot of the same weaknesses. The good: Full frame sensor with DPAF, face and eye tracking. This makes it a fantastic entry-level full-frame stills camera. Small, lightweight and easily portable. Compatible with RF lenses as well as EF via adapter. Make's it pretty future proof, especially compared to the EF-M line which has a very uncertain future. Clean HDMI out - useful for streaming, and external recording The bad: Battery life - Much like the M50 it uses tiny batteries that don't last nearly as long as their larger siblings 4K Crop - There is a 1.6x crop on 4K video, doesn't utilize the full sensor. No DPAF in 4K. This one is super annoying. Having that great af system, but not able to use it in 4K If your focus is primarily stills and and are ok with good quality 1080p video, and want to future-proof your lens choices its a good pick. That said, EOS R prices are dropping, and you can often find them on the Canon refurb site, you still have the 4K crop, but its got great AF and is a better all-around camera. More on reddit.com

So I've had my camera for a while now, it's the eos 250d and I've had it for about 3-4ish years, I usually use it to plane spot now im for a new one, and I'm debating whether I should go for the rp, 90d or the r7 (keep in mind the r7 is a little bit out of my budget so It will take me more time to get it which I don't think I want to wait since mine is already a little broken), now the problem with the rp is that it shoots 1-2 fps in tracking mode which is really slow,I mean like the 90d shoots at 10 and the r7 at 15, other than that the rp seem like the perfect camera for me, so should I get it?

With such a low fps, I would say no. If your goal is action, the RP will disappoint. I think you'd be better off stretching to get the R7 now than buy the RP or 90D and then eventually buy something like an R7/R6 in the future. You'll spend less money overall and be happier now.
