Looking for a minimalist bluetooth head unit
I’m looking for a budget head unit - please assist?
Looking for a new head unit. What would you buy today?
I'd lean towards the Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX only because we have two 4200NEX units currently that have been going strong with no issues for 2.5 years. My wife is iPhone, I'm Android, and we can switch between the cars seamlessly.

I want a single-din head unit that I can pair my phone to and then forget about. I don't listen to the radio. I think lights make things look tacky. If I could completely remove the head unit and fill in the void in the dash, and just discover my car speakers like a portable speaker that would be even better.
The only head unit I could find that looks good is the Sony RSX-GS9, which is both discontinued and expensive AF. https://www.sony.com/za/electronics/hd-car-audio/rsx-gs9
If anyone has recommendations to this design goal, I would greatly appreciate it.
