there is a ~$200 difference between these mattresses. one is called The Casper and the other is Original. as of February 2023, consumer reports rates the "casper original" highly (but I'm not sure which mattress the magazine is referring to since they're so similar?!)

the guy at the store said they were basically the same with "the casper" being an updated version of the original or maybe the other way around. I am confused!

this is my first mattress purchase as an adult and I just want something that is supportive, not too squishy, and less than $800. I thought I was going to get the "Casper Original" but now I am,,, not even sure which mattress that is?! I think it's the Original but I am clearly lost!

Idk but they are both just cheap foam layers in a case. The Casper I bought years ago at least had a zipper on the cover. I don't then any of them have that anymore. There isn't anything wrong the foam mattresses but don't expect it to last Sorry I don't know the answer to your question
