I have a Lenovo Yoga C940 15.6", that I bought in 2020. It has touch and works with a stylus. With some research and experimentation, I found that it uses the AES 2.0 stylus protocol, which senses tilt. When paired with the Lenovo Precision Pen 2, I get pretty good lines with very little diagonal line wobble, and the tilt angle and tilt direction work as well. I bought it, on sale, at Best Buy for $900, back in 2020. For that money, I got an i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB NVME SSD. Plus two thunderbolt 3 ports and a USB 3.0 A port. I immediately replaced the 1 TB SSD with a 2 TB SSD. Which is incredibly easy to do. You just remove some easily visible screws from the bottom cover and the m.2 slot is right there, easy to see. Oh, and it comes with a little tiny stylus that slips into a hole in the bottom of the laptop, and constantly charges there. So you always have at least a tolerable stylus with you, though it does not sense tilt. The problem is: Lenovo, along with all the other laptop makers, are terrible at making it clear what stylus features you're going to get, what stylus protocol the laptop uses, which of their pens actually work with that stylus, and what features you get when you pair that pen with that laptop. Lenovo has started including words such as "stylus" and "tilt" in their marketing copy for some of their laptops. But it is unclear whether or not those are the only laptops that work with styluses and sense tilt. Asus is now making Surface Pro clones. So you might want to look into those if you want something more portable than a 15.6 in diagonal laptop. In the end, I really like this laptop. Although it did take me till just recently to figure out exactly which stylus worked the best. I cut out a felt pad to lay down underneath the laptop when I am using it in tablet mode, so that the key tops don't get all scratched up from sliding them around on the desk. More on reddit.com

Most 2-in-1s are crap for note taking, too heavy, keyboard in the way, no letter/a4-sized display. If you're serious about digital note taking, I'd look into the following devices: iPad Pro 11/12.9 + additional PC, I've been using iPads with GoodNotes for 5+ years for note taking MS Surface 8/9 with OneNote (solid hardware, solid pen) Remarkable 2 Everything else imho is a bad compromise for note taking. Go for the Lenovo Flex 5 2023 as it is a great laptop for your needs and is not expensive. It is low weight and well built so it will be easy for you to transport from room to room without being much of a hassle. It has a very powerful CPU so it will be able to run multiple documents and databases without lagging. Its integrated graphics is better than its intel counterparts and is able to manage light gaming well.
