Is the Concrete Fire Pit Table heavy?
The Fire Pit Table is composed of relatively lightweight Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) with a metal frame. The Rectangular table weighs approximately 165 lbs, and the Round table weighs approximately 126 lbs. At least two people are needed to move the product.
Can any fire media/materials be used with the Fire Pit Table?
Outer recommends using the ceramic spheres that come with the Fire Pit Table because they help stabilize the flame from wind, and radiate and distribute the heat generated from the flame outwards. However, the burner pan of this Fire Pit Table is designed to use any of a variety of aftermarket media, including lava stones, lava granules, fire glass, and ceramic spheres.
Where can I install my Fire Pit Table?
The Fire Pit Table should be installed by a qualified service professional and must be installed outside, on a flat, stable surface away from any combustible materials, and at least 4 feet (48 in.) away from any building structure or plants. The unit should not be installed on dirt or grass. A concrete or slate patio surface is ideal, but the unit may be installed on a wooden deck.
Be sure to install the Fire Pit Table outside in a fully vented area with no overhang or trees within 6 feet (72 in.) above the unit. The Fire Pit Table creates a controlled open-flame, so use common sense when positioning. The Fire Pit Table needs to “breathe” during operation and pulls air in through vents located along the bottom edge. Avoid placing anything up against the sides of the unit that could block air to these vents.
I've been eyeing the Pottery Barn Burrows 42". I found the exact same product through Build with Ferguson sold through Real Flame. The stock pics, dimensions, and even color choices are exactly the same and makes me think they are the same product. Does anyone know if there's an actual difference between these products? Attaching some pics comparing the two.
