For example, I like the word academy, and I think it could be a cute name if it weren't an existing word used in every day English. What words do you like that could be or are still enjoyable names? There are plenty of words that are names, but there is surely some invisible line between okay and not; I just wonder where it is for different people. :)
What are your favorite word-names, whether you would actually use them on a human or not?
What are your favorite "Word" names?
What are your favorite word names?
Word names are probably my #1 guilty pleasure. Some favorites (the majority being names I wouldn't be brave enough to use on a real child):
Month names (especially September, November, and December)
Day names (I like Tuesday a lot. Evening is also a big guilty pleasure)
Virtue names (Felicity, Verity, and Amity are my favorites, though I would use each of them. Merit, Clarity, Promise and Remembrance are in the guilty pleasure category)
Place names (Ireland, Scotland, India)
Nature names (Lavender, Tulip, Gardenia, Magnolia, Rose, Ivy, Clover, Garnet, Sage, Fox, Finch, Harbor, Harvest, Hawthorn, Garland, Cliff)
