Comments going back and forth when the real win here is COSTCO. majority of the negative Dyson comments are on longevity. Me personally my two Dysons are rock solid. However, Costco’s lifetime return nullify that risk, just keep the box/receipt and you should be good to go. More on reddit.com

I bought the v12 absolute slim detect and its been good enough for my wife and me. 2 story house w/dog and hardwood floors and no problems with the battery. Need to empty the bin like 2-3times when vacuuming carpets that our dog lies on. V12 is really light and I like it More on reddit.com

Hi, My Dyson Animal Pro suddenly stopped working last week. Thankfully, it was still under warranty, and Costco gave me a full refund ($390)—yet another reason I love shopping at Costco!
I’m now looking for a replacement vacuum. I could just pick up the newer Dyson Animal Upright currently available at Costco, but I wanted to check with this community first. Are there other models sold at Costco (in-store or online) that you’d recommend over the Dyson? I’m even open to spending a bit more if it’s worth the upgrade.
We live in an apartment with mostly carpet and some wood flooring in the kitchen and bathroom. The Dyson made our carpet noticeably fluffier after each use, which my family really liked. That said, it was my first vacuum, so I don’t have much basis for comparison. Would love to hear your experiences or suggestions!

Shark all the way. I’ve had several Dysons and they’re…not great. Have had no issues with my current Shark Navigator.
