I got the DeWalt shop vac 6 months ago, it’s been a disappointment for me. I thought it was going to replace my 20 year old Rigid that was half the cost. It’s both underpowered but still overly loud. I was hoping it’d be a shop vac for the small garage workshop, or maybe to have a dedicated shop vac for basement, but I just can’t find a use for this. Frankly it doesn’t feel up to the quality of anything I’ve had from DeWalt’s, their stuff is typical fine and suitable for a typical homeowner. This might be my fist Costco return if I wasn’t worried about being “that guy” returning old items they spent too long trying to make work.

I have had this same one for a few years now and have honestly had the opposite experience. Love it, would recommend.

It's okay. Use to come with a little rack for the accessories to hold them. Now it's a crappy little bag that nothing fits on well. The other day I emptied it and gave it a couple taps in the ground and the drum sure bent out of shape easily. Edit: that is actually the one they use to sell here. It has the rack and it's 8 liters bigger. And I think more solid

I feel like all of the Costco-specific items are hit or miss, but with their return policy, it’s often worth the gamble as long as you’re willing to wait in their long lines. That said, I bought an air purifier at Costco and now can’t find the replacement filters anywhere, because I don’t think they exist, so that could also be an issue with a wet/dry vac. If you’re still shopping around, there’s a Reddit user who has put a thread with a ton of research together on all the different types of vacuums. Their database should help you narrow down your options in no time.
