I just want to flag an issue with Covers-And-All and their customer service.
If you are not happy with your purchase, they will not let you return it unless (I suppose) they made an obvious mistake with the order.
So you better be sure that you will really like what you are getting. Because if for some reason you do not like it, tough luck: you will be stuck with it.
From where I stand, there is a difference between seeing things online and seeing and touching them in reality. And because of that, online retailers should accept returns, no questions asked. Apparently, that is not the policy of Covers-And-All.
Buyer beware.

We placed an order with Covers&All in December 2023. After numerous messages to the company with specific measurements as requested by Covers&All no patio cushion cover was received. We have requested, through the company’s customer service, a full refund of our initial investment of nearly $50. As of March 5, 2024, no refund has been made, even after multiple emails requesting the same. Personally, we will never use this company again.
Hey all,
Has anyone done a custom cover from Covers & All >> Specifically, a BJ3 size. The KJ-branded one is a total joke; the sun literally destroys these annually. I've had the same Weber-branded cover on my 8-year old Summit and still totally fine. But the KJ ones fade and the piping literally falls apart within a few months. So I am looking to do a custom cover from Covers & All as I have used them in the past for covers for my patio furniture. NOT looking to get a generic cover, so the dimensions is something they want so it fits well. If someone has already done this, it would help greatly so I don't have to reinvent the wheel here!
Thanks much!
I know, I know, regular washing is better than a cover. Garaging is better than a cover. Dirt will get under it and get rubbed in by the wind, marring the paint.
But, I live next to a beach in a high-traffic area without a garage. The salty marine layer comes by almost every night, or the Santa Ana winds come in a few days each year, bringing the desert dust with them. As it dries, traffic debris gets kicked up, leaving a even a freshly detailed car looking like it's been neglected and left to the elements for months. Obvious oxidation is apparent only weeks after a clay bar and ceramic spray/sealant/whatever. Plast-X on the headlights seems to be effective for two weeks, at best. Oh, and tourists occasionally make contact with the sides as they walk or bike by. I have 4 cars to maintain, 2 of which are worth keeping clean, and it's just too much to keep up.
So, I'm thinking a cover is my only option, but shopping for them is sort of like shopping for a mattress in that there's a ton of marketing fluff out there. Prices seem to range anywhere between $15 for a glorfied tarp, up to about $700 for something that I'm not sure is worth more than $300. With that said, what's been your experience with covers? Is a $300 budget realistic?
I’m looking at seat covers and don’t want to spend $600 for Clazzios. These look pretty nice.
I need a new cover for my hot tub, a bullfrog R7. Very standard size rounded corner square 88".
I've been looking into the names that usually come up here: thecoverguy, myspacover, spacovers.net, spa-mart, etc and they have been getting absolutely brutal reviews on places like google and BBB. Talking dozens of 1 star "this company is a scam" "i never got my cover" "my cover is completely different from what i ordered" type reviews. coverguy BBB in particular is just loaded with people who are waiting 4+ months and getting the run around.
However, whenever the question comes up these are the places are recommended.
Very hard to decipher what is going on.
Is there any online place that is actually just good? Willing to pay a little extra for no BS and a good product. I would simply like to exchange money for a cover in a predictable and non multi month timeline.
Local options aren't good. Very basic covers, lots of upcharging, basically scummy used car salesman tactics. Literally was getting rung out on a cover and the guy just started tacking on charges for features nearly doubling the sticker price lol. Had to just walk away. Even wanted to charge delivery when I was picking up because "it had to be delivered to them", yet it was right there in stock! Even the original price was very high however.
It's getting annoying replacing all of my patio stuff covers. You know - made from plastic-backed nylon fabric used for covering your patio furniture, covering your grill, and also what patio umbrellas are made from. After a while it gets brittle and rips easily. I understand that these remain outside under the sun for most of the year, but isn't there something more durable.
I'll take 5-10 years to start.
I ordered a Platinum Shield Car Cover from carcovers.com based on the thousands of positive reviews on their website. I received the cover two days ago, and the quality is identical to the one I ordered from Temu.com or Aliexpress.com. It seems carcovers.com may have sourced the cover from China or possibly from Aliexpress.com and then sold it to customers at an inflated price. Be cautious about their "hassle-free return" policy; it is misleading and essentially a scam. You will lose at least half of what you paid, as they deduct 20% for this reason and another 20% for other reasons, plus shipping. Additionally, it’s at their discretion whether or not to accept your return.
The Platinum Shield Car Cover at carcovers.com costs around $200, while the same quality cover can be purchased from Temu for about $25-$50. Unfortunately, I’ve already fallen into their trap. I’ve learned my lesson not to buy from small online companies. The return process is nearly impossible, despite what their return policy claims. Moreover, their phone number seems to be for show; you can call, but you will never reach an extension, and their automated answering system will simply hang up on you.
Hey, I’m a high school senior(18) and am looking to publish my first book that I’ve been working on since I was 13. Most of my friends approve of this cover, but I wanted some second, and admittedly professional opinions about this cover. Be honest.
I have full sun all day long on my south facing deck and it chews through patio furniture covers they get weak and start ripping and tearing apart. I priced one out on coverstore.com... >$400USD for a large L shape sectional cover cause its so big.
Does anyone know how to tell what materials will hold up to the sun, so I can shop one on amazon for <$200??? UV resistance, Deniers thickness, materials? etc. etc. That won't wear out in a year and rip. Amazon full of reviews of ones that rip easily. Bless you all.
After reading about the issues with the OEM cover and a few positive posts about coverstore.com, I decided to take advantage of a recent sale on their website to try it out.
My grill will be facing the sun/rain and running into a lot wind and small branches. So I opted for their Ultima line, which uses the heavier 600D nylon. The fabric is substantially thicker than my other OEM covers.
There are two choices in size: 29” and 34”, but the site doesn’t explicitly state that the smaller is for the Classic and the larger is for the Big Joes. I initially purchased the 29” and while it does cover the Classic 3, it’s a rather snug fit and it takes some finagling to get the cover on and off the grill. The bottom of the cover doesn’t drape completely over the wheels and will actually rest slightly above because the legs flare out a little wider than the diameter of the cover. In addition, the top of the cover that goes over the air vent is also snug and will detach the upper part of the vent if you pull the cover off quickly.
I decided to return the 29” and get the 34” cover instead, which is what the picture shows. The fit is looser and is much easier to take on and off, especially with the stiffer Ultimate fabric. The cover now drapes over the top of the wheels but still leaves some space on the bottom for ventilation. There’s also a hidden flap for additional ventilation, which is nice. The buckles and pull cords on the bottom should help prevent strong winds from stripping the cover off. The top is still snug around the air vent but it’s easy to pull off if you’re mindful about it.
Overall I’m fairly satisfied with the fabric quality, which is something that makes Coverstore stand out. I think the smaller size is better suited for the Classic 1 & 2. Perhaps a revision could offer a more tailored fit for the Classic 3 but in the meantime I recommend folks opt for the 34” cover.
Having quite the discussion about music with my friend and we wondered people’s opinions on the best covers of all time? The cover has to be better than the original or at least different enough that they should be appreciated individually despite being the same song.
We spoke a lot about this and concluded our top five to be:
Hurt by Johnny Cash
Wild Is The Wind by David Bowie
All Along The Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix
The Man Who Sold The World by Nirvana
Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds
Honourable mention to Fiona Apple’s version of Across The Universe and Eric Clapton’s I Shot The Sheriff
I’m looking at a Coverstore custom cover for an outdoor sectional, either Ultima or Prestige collection. (Open to other recs too).
I called to ask about water resistance and was told “if there is nowhere for the water to run off, it will eventually penetrate”. Does anyone have real world experience with this? When it rains, most of the water does run off my current covers but where there’s slack in the fabric some puddling does happen. I don’t want to be monitoring my covered furniture after every rain, but my sectional cushions are not waterproof.
