So I ordered something that was supposed to arrive today and I just checked my Amazon account and it says that 'an attempt was made to deliver it'. I was at home the whole day and I haven't heard any door knocks or bell, and there is no note telling me anything.
They also say they will attempt to re-deliver on the next business day. Today is Saturday, so I'm assuming that I won't get it tomorrow. Does this change if you're using Prime; like will they try to deliver it tomorrow (Sunday) or will it still be Monday?

This happened to me some years ago when waiting for my new TV. The delivery guy didn't want to bring the big box upstairs and it was one of his last stops. When I saw that they attempted to deliver, I called support and they called the guy at home and made him come back to deliver it. He was pissed but he should done his job correctly to begin with. So just call support.

Who is meant to deliver it? I get this message sometimes when it's USPS and for some reason Amazon will have it listed as being out for delivery on a Sunday or a holiday. It actually happened to me yesterday. I know USPS wasn't out delivering but Amazon had it marked as out for delivery, and then by early afternoon, it was marked as an attempted delivery. Not sure why it happens but I always get the order on the next day mail should be delivered. It's possible this is what happened with your delivery considering today is a holiday and there will be no mail. More on reddit.com

In the over 15 years I've been shopping on Amazon, I've never gotten this text; "Delivery attempted. Unfortunately, we couldn't complete your Amazon delivery. We will try again." Of course, I am eagerly awaiting the Vine items that are part of that order, but more vital are the cat treats I bought for our cat. I ran out on Friday and kept promising him that today I'll make up for it. And now he's REALLY bummed.
I'm just as bummed because I really want those Vine items. After reading about the issues some folks have been having with lost and misdelivered goods (I also check out the AmazonPrime sub,) I'm just a wee bit concerned, though our Amazon drivers have been really good, I mentioned this to my husband, who used to work in the courier and transportation industry, and he suggested they might have put it on the wrong truck since the exact reason wasn't given. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that my goodies will arrive today or tomorrow and that the cat will forgive me.

Me too. Just a few hours ago. Mine was USPS and I think it is because of the holiday. My Amazon delivery driver made his today, though.
