Where are you seeing those? Dell's refurbished systems from their direct outlet have a Dell warranty, same as new (1 or 3 years, typically, depending on the model.) In my experience, the quality control is better than new ones. The price is a lot better, so as long as you can find a configuration you like, there's really no reason NOT to buy there unless you need a model that hasn't shown up on Outlet yet or you get an extraordinarily good sale (my present daily driver, a Latitude 7400 2-in-1 was new from the small business site, and cheaper than the outlet ones with a similar config, so it can happen.) April 28, 2021Am looking at purchasing a refurb Optiplex. Can somebody explain why the 7060 (right) appears have higher specs except only has half the memory compared to the 7050 (left)?
Two different configurations. As is the case with all Optiplex computers, the 7050 and the 7060 could be ordered with different processors (i3/i5/i7), different RAM (8/16/32GB) and different SSD's (256GB/500GB/1TB). Of the two, pick the 7060, despite the lower specs, because the 7060 has an 8th Gen processor (i7-8700) and will run Windows 11 (as it is apparently set up to do). The 7050 has a 7th Gen processor (i7-7700) and will reach end of effective life in 15 months (when Windows 10 reaches EOL) unless you plan to use Linux on it, as I do on my 7050. More on reddit.com

When I was in college, I bought a few certified refurbished laptops over the years (from Dell and Apple directly). As long as it’s certified and comes with a warranty, it’s usually just as reliable as new. But now, I get all my laptops through ebay’s refurb section to save money. My XPS with Windows 10 is 6 years old and aside from the sunsetting of 10 in October of this year, it is no longer as speedy and smooth. Looking for a deal and am seeing on eBay several resellers hawking refurbished Dell Precision 3630 towers for under $400. The specs are more than adequate for my needs.
Just wanted to hear if anyone has bought one.

I buy without drives and sometimes memory. If they have a warranty and show the bios screen then i usually trust them. I have been buying xx70’s for about 125.00 or less to sell for W11 swaps. The one I bought with the drive, had SMART warnings turned off and the drive was actually on its last leg
