Does it have to be dinosaurs? You can go to the peace river in Florida and find hundreds of fossil shark teeth and other fossils. There are places for trilobites in Ohio. More on reddit.com
Good places to go rock or fossil hunting?
In a couple months it will be cool enough to head to the desert, so I might suggest checking out the slot canyons due east of Borrego Springs surrounding the abandoned calcite mine. Lots of interesting geology in this area. If you could go anywhere in the US, where would you take a first-time fossil hunting trip?
Go to The Great Basin in Wyoming. I spent the summer there fossil hunting. Tons of good stuff and dinosaur tracks and petroglyphs too. The best area I've found is near Greybull, a small village called Shell at the base of the Bighorn Mountains. More on reddit.com

January 8, 2025 - The world's longest continuous path of dinosaur footprints opened to the public in 2024 near Ouray. The 134 footprints made by a long-necked sauropod dinosaur are more than 150 million years old. You'll have to work a bit to see them, however. The tracksite is reached by the steep, 2-mile, out-and-back Silvershield Trail in the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests. Six miles north of Cañon City, this active natural research area has been the site of fossil discoveries for nearly 130 years.
