I’m (54F) going to a wedding on an island off the west coast of Scotland in late September. We will be staying in a small village on the Isle of Mull, and going on a foot ferry to Iona Abbey for the ceremony, then back to Mull for the reception. Because there will be walking involved, not to mention potentially rainy weather, I’m thinking trouser suit rather than dress. Maybe a bit edgy, with Office of Angela Scott wingtips, or similar. Any recommendations?
My nephew is getting married next year and this is the first grandkid wedding my mom is able to attend. She's in her early 80's and wants to wear pants to hide her legs (scarred from a car accident years ago) but also doesn't want to look casual or too old. (She's in her early 80's but only retired from nursing 4 years ago and walks miles every day...not your typical 80-something.) We've looked a little online (Amazon, David's Bridal & Eileen Fisher) but they are all grays or pastel colors...which she doesn't want. Any other places that sell either a formal pants suit or formal separates? Thanks!
