May 14, 2023 - Leave to cool down for 1-2 hours before looking for blockages. Beware of sharp objects when checking for blockages. To access the flexible inspection hose beneath the clear bin, first remove the clear bin (see ‘Emptying the clear bin’). Unscrew the two Phillips screws on the clear bin locator bracket. (Do not remove any other screws.) Remove the bracket. Firmly twist the flexible inspection hose away from the inlet next to the ball (do not remove the end next to the connection for the main hose).

I believe there is a button near the top that releases the canister if it doesn't come loose from a light pull. Once you get the canister off, you just place it upright over a trash and push the button embedded it's handle. Voila!

I inherited a Dyson Multi-floor 2 but it has a strange issue I have not been able to find online. It turns on fine and once reclined, the beater bar begins to spin as normal (suction at base relatively weak). However, it switches suction to the handle as if it is in upright position and the beater bar continues to spin (as it is in the reclined position). I have taken it apart to check for clogs, ran it without the filter, and made sure that the canister is empty but the issue persists. Any ideas on troubleshooting? Thanks!

Have you removed the hose completely from the back of the machine and checked down the hole where the hose was? Have you removed the screw in the clear window section on the machine under the bin and checked nothing in there? Check the change over tube under the machine its the bit thats just under the hose. when in the upright postion its supposed to point to the hose, when its reclined its supposed to point towards the internal hose that attaches to the cleaner head. Sounds like something is caught around there. Worst case scenerio the change over needs replacing.
