Pretty much what the title says. Ive been seing this price for the last 3 years while still hanging on to my DC14 from 2016 ( maybe older) but never bit the bullet. Is this price worth in 2025? I do really need a vaccum ASAP and I would like a cordless one this time

I was thinking of waiting till Black Friday to purchase but does anyone know if they could possibly drop the price further?! I’ve heard .99 means something for Costco?
I plan on pulling the cord and getting my first Dyson vacuum this sale. I’ve narrowed it down to the v15 and v12 sold by Costco (so I have access to the flexible return policy if all goes awry), but the biggest factor holding me back from the v15 is the weight difference.
My understanding is v15 is more powerful, slightly better battery life and bin capacity, and comes with more attachments. However, v15 is around 15lbs and the v12 is around 5lbs.
In Canada, v15 is on sale for $780 and v12 for $675 so not a huge difference.
I live in a ranch-style house with a carpet upstairs, carpet stairs, and hard floors for the foyer and downstairs (with a rug here and there) so it’s pretty 50/50. I will also be using a central vacuum, and emptying the bin more isn’t a huge deal to me.
Which did you pick and why? Did the weight of the v15 keep you back? Is one more reliable than the other? Is it even worth going for the v15?
Hi I’m sorry to add to this ad nauseam discussion but I’m just so torn and haven’t seen this exact comparison at the current prices. At the moment these are the options I’m considering:
Gen5 Detect for $699 from Amazon
V15 Detect that comes with a bunch of additional accessories at Costco for $560
V15 Absolute from Dyson for $649
I like the idea of a hepa filter and maybe the no trigger although it doesn’t really bother me at the current weight of our v11. I always love Costcos return policy but don’t know if we should go with the one of the other two slightly better models instead?

This would be for the second story in my house. I have a Roborock for the bottom story, but a second Roborock would be too much of a hassle with the kids rooms always having random junk on the floor. I’m mostly debating if the V15 is worth the $190 premium. We have four cats and a dog, so plenty of pet hair floating around. Floors are LVP.

Sale is only from November 24-27. The sale price is usually $560 so this is a great price.
Costco will have v11 at $500 later this month vs Dyson has v15 posted for $650.
I do want to buy the laser fluffy for the Dyson v11. So, after everything is done for both should cost the same more or less.
Costco has a phenomenal return policy kind of forever no question asked, vs I would get the latest gen from Dyson.
Which option would you recommend?
