It looks like Defender ATP just came out on top in the newest Gartner report. Has anyone had experience with this? Is it sold as a stand alone? Last I looked it was only included in M365 E5.
My interest is really peaked after reading this. I know Gartner is pay to play, but still sounds very interesting. It looks like you can apply conditional access policies to it which is super cool. I also like the idea of not having to install a another agent.
Also they mentioned Microsoft Threat Experts (threat hunting service) in public preview.
I would love to hear from people who have had hands on experience. If your gonna just bash Microsoft security...no need to chime in

The Garter Magic Quadrant is a purely business focused diagram and has nothing to say about quality or technicalities. Keep that in mind.

Crowdstrike sales guy said they were all expecting Microsoft to dominate and probably from here on out. His reasoning for that comes down to telemetry and general device count. Their behavioural analytics with the mass amount of info they get is going to make it much easier to block threats. They expect eventually their email gateway security will be top dog as well due to o365. But... that’s just from one dude... so, take it or leave it :)
