I think he gave one of the best performances in the film. His rage and anger in march of the witch hunters truly scared me.

He was scary 😂😂😂😂. The Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz was so gentle. I know you have to separate the two but I would love to have seen the Tin Man and the Scarecrow meeting Dorothy. I imagine he had been crying after being turned into a monster and rusted but he was still so angry and rightfully so in March Of The Witch Hunters.

The Tin Man's hatred was so intense that it even surpassed the love he once felt for Glinda. The way he looks at her in 'March of the Witch Hunters' reflects all of Oz's hatred for Elphaba. . Note: There are some details I didn't like in the movie (personal opinion), but others were incredibly well done, like that terrifying moment. Ethan was amazing, the whole scene was scary, and I felt helpless because Elphie was innocent 😭

EDIT: Rent was fucking due for Ethan Slater. But aside from that, Boq's character had every right to be as angry as he was. Nessarose took being in love with Boq way too far, to the point where other munchkins got their rights taken away just so he could stay with her, and Boq literally lost his heart because he said, "No, I love someone else. "Then, when he's revived without his heart, Elphaba is blamed by Nessa again, so of course, he was angry at Elphaba for winding up as the Tin Man. And when he saw Glinda again, his stare at her showed “look at what I am now, I can no longer appeal to you, Glinda, or anyone else for that matter. This is who I am now. IT'S OVER!"
