Google has a historical reputation for:
raising prices of services, and
suddenly withdrawing services
Putting your dependence on Google has proved to often come back to bite those who do so.
Edit: advocating for Microsoft over Google is the height of stupidity and ignorance. Remember when Microsoft replaced the menu in Microsoft Office products with the utterly idiotic and dysfunctional "Ribbon"? They still haven't rectified that UI disaster. Don't let anybody con you into thinking Microsoft give any consideration to their users. Microsoft prey on loyalty and will hurt anybody who hasn't learned from their history.
