I recently bought a Galaxy Watch Ultra directly from Samsung during the pre-order. Now, I'd like to connect the LTE functionality and add it to my Rogers account to share my data.
I reached out to Rogers on chat and they told me that I would have to go into a store to add to my account. Once there, I was told that I would be billed a 70$ activation fee (for a 15$/month addon, seriously). The only way to avoid that was to to do the self activation on My Rogers. I've been trying to find how to do it but just couldn't find it. Reached out to Rogers support again and the only two options they are offering me is to buy a new one directly from Rogers (no thanks, already got one) or to do the activation in store (no, I'm not paying a 70$ activation fee for a 15$/month addon). They don't seem to be aware of a self service online activation possibility.
I'm wondering, does Rogers even allow BYOD Watch or are they only accepting Watch bought directly from them?
