I wanted to purchase a $25 physical game and have it shipped to me from the site. I attempted to use the "saver" coupon but this didn't work. I saw on the front page of the site that if you spent over $35 you would then get free shipping. I added that $25 item + a $20 PlayStation card which came to a total of $46 something with free shipping.
Here's where I started to run into a problem: I added my $27 worth of left over gift card credit to cover the majority which then brought the final price to $18 something. After filling in all the details and adding my credit card I then hit "place my order"; it then spun until bringing me back to my card saying "undefined: site error". I tried again and the same thing happened. For a third time, I filled in all my details and hit "place order" but got the same error. After signing out and back in, removing the items and putting them back in, I tried it one last time. This time my balance in my card no longer showed $27 something left; it was $7... I then checked my email, order history, and gift card balance. Nothing went through yet my balance was now $7 instead of $27. Not only could I not get my order to go through, but now I just lost $20...
Now the only way to contact them is through their phone line. And like many others, I've now been on the phone line waiting for over 90 minutes with no one picking up. This experience with GameStop is very frustrating and the customer service is a joke, now I see why 90% of things I purchase is on Amazon.
Update: Got someone on the phone after 2 hours and they were able to get the credit back on the card. He said it was an authorization charge on the gift card and it needed to be cancelled. After doing that they asked what the items were I was trying to purchase and I told him the physical item and the PSN card. He replied that he would have been able to help me place the order but couldn't because of the card. I asked if I could place it myself while on the phone with him in case the error occurred again but he said he couldn't do that because of the PSN card. I then inquired if the PSN card was the reason that the order wouldn't go through? He said no it should be fine but that he couldn't help me over the phone. I asked one more time if I could then place the item + the card and get the free shipping. He affirmed that shouldn't be an issue. Turns out, the same error occurred again.
SOLUTION for this error undefined thing: Gift cards, including their GameStop card seem to not count towards the promotion. I couldn't find a find a fine print on this for the promotion and wish they had made it more obvious that was the problem.
I found a few other cheap items and purchased those bringing it to just over $35 which qualified me for the free shipping. I'll flip these and make back some more money.
Tldr just pick something to make it go over the 35 and return it after it arrives. Saves tons of time
I was inclined to help you out until you added that last part.
When this many people are having issues it gets loaded up. You just have to wait while the lines calm down. If more people would be slightly understanding we wouldn't be having these issues.
Did you try maybe thinking you're the problem?

I’m trying to buy a few things that add up to over $35 (piranha plant amiibo and a controller for the switch) but it won’t give me the $35+ free shipping even though it costs $40 all together. None of these are preorders and they both say usually ship within 24 hours. I know they ended Elite Pro but I should still get the benefits from it until my subscription runs out right? Anyone know what the issue could be?
I had the same issue a few days ago, had like $40+ in games but the system wouldn't give me the free shipping option, I just ended up not buying anything.
When I ordered my Fire Emblem CE yesterday it only gave me the option of Day-One shipping, and my Elite Pro wouldn't work for that. According to the store support hotline, apparently it's how they're doing things for preorders now.
All the pictures indicate that I should receive free shipping, yet it will not take it off of the order. Any solution? Thanks!
I'd like to buy a few games on the website (local store doesn't have them all and prefer not to drive to multiple stores) but as in title, even with my Powerup rewards and purchase of over 100 free shipping is not an option.
