I’m trying to register a few domains but want to avoid paying full price. First-time buyer discounts seem to change all the time and it’s hard to know which ones actually save money without hidden fees.
I mostly need cheap domains for personal projects and a couple for small side businesses. I’ve checked a few promo codes online but some look outdated or only work on certain extensions.
Has anyone recently grabbed a really good deal on godaddy for first-time buyers?

Hey 👋 a few of my domains are due for renewal but GoDaddy is requesting I pay over $150 for each one?! I only paid under $20 each when purchasing.
Is this normal or is it due to their value increasing? Transferring them to a new registrar won’t work would it?
I’m curious if it’s worth paying a yearly fee for cheap prices.
Did anyone try it?

I have a godaddy deluxe hosting account that's up for renewal but the rates are expensive. Does godaddy provide discounts or coupons for renewals? I may just have to do a quick renewal and see if I can transfer the account.
Just off the phone with support, I offer workshops and people can book these workshops through my website, it is not on the commerce platform, I don't need that option. I DO need discounts.
The dude on the phone basically said that he agrees that it is ridiculous that it isn't an option.
My point was that I understand the need to drive people to higher packages but offering a discount code IS NOT a premium feature, in any platform that I know! It's basic shit.
I've tried adding a duplicate service and hiding it but that just removes it altogether from the live.
Anyone any ideas?
I read a thread on a forum the other day about a .99 Godaddy domain coupon code and everyone in the forum seemed to get excited about it. Unfortunately, that code had a limit on how many registrations (10,000) it would allow.
Since I go on a domain buying binge every couple months spending .99 - $1.99 for up to 10 Godaddy domains. I figured I'd share what I do and how I do it, so everyone else (who wants a domain, or 10) can get what they need without paying full price.
Here Are 5 Steps I Use
Step #1. Do a Google search for "godaddy promo code" or "godaddy coupon code"
I like to search for codes first and get the domain second.
A Godaddy promo code can have between 4 and 8 characters. An example might be "CJCRMNR5"
You'll find sites like RetailmeNot, FatWallet, Coupons - all those sites have Godaddy .99 cent domain coupon codes.
Tip: Go to each site one-by-one and copy the codes into a text document
Sometimes the promo site will redirect you to Godaddy, but I like to work in my own tab so I close the redirect. This way if one coupon code doesn't work I can easily enter a different one.
Step #2. Search Godaddy for a domain
Self explanatory. One thing I will add - I like to search using a tool called Bustaname.com. It allows me to add several seed words and customize the type of word combos that are still available to register.
Step #3. Checkout & Pay For Your Domain
When you've decided which domain you're going to buy and reach Godaddy checkout it will ask for a Promotional Code in the right hand corner. Take one code from any of the coupon sites I mentioned above and enter it and checkout.
Remember the code. You won't use it again, but you'll need it as a reference for the other 9 domain purchases.
Tip: Checkout with one domain at a time. Buy one, check out, then come back repeat the process (with one domain) and checkout again.
Warning: Paypal doesn't work for Godaddy coupon code domains. You need a credit card for all of this to work.
Step #4. Search Deeper into Google For More Domain Codes and Repeat The Process
You can easily purchase 3 different domains using a different Godaddy coupon each time.
Domain #1 for .99 Domain #2 for $1.49 Domain #3 for $1.99
This is where Godaddy tries to put the brakes on your discounts. They don’t want you to have another .99 domain. But we’re greedy, right? The title of this article said 10 domains, so we still need 7 more.
We need to get more codes…
Here are some extra search terms:
godaddy domain discount godaddy promo codes godaddy coupon godaddy coupon codes godaddy domain godaddy domain coupon
One by one, take each promo code you found and enter it in at checkout.
Hint: Not all the codes will work. Some codes will only reduce your domain price to $10 if you've already gotten a discount.
But several discount codes will work.
Once you get one to work, checkout and repeat the process.
Step #5. Look for Patterns in the Promo Codes (And Choose Different Patterns)
Many codes have the same first 3 letters - "CJC" for example. In my experience you can "usually" purchase one domain per "code type" per price, even if the code is from a different website. So if you've already used a coupon code with "CJC" for a .99 cent domain and you're trying for another .99 domain, skip that code and select a different code format.
The more discount code prefixes you find the more successful you will be.
Once you’ve used up all the .99 cent discount codes, start using 1.49, and then 1.99 ($2 is still a great price for a new domain!)
Do the same thing over and over until you’ve gotten 10 deeply discounted Godaddy domains.
Cool, right?

Conclusion:
Never pay full price for a Godaddy domain again.
Need go daddy coupon codes for my domain renewal. Currently it costs me 1299 on renewing my domain.
