Hi all, I'm starting to lose my mind here. Randomly earlier this week my sons among us stopped working on his tablet. No big deal I thought, it's probably just something simple...

Fast forward clearing cache, deleting data, reinstalling the game, deleting any link between the Google account and among us, emails to innersloth support. I'm no closer to getting it to log in. The game starts and immediately pops up stating to continue without signing in (which it's always done and is I believe age related) but then never gets further, eventually offering the option to play in offline mode. The advice from innersloth was it's a Google account settings issue and not them. Great, what settings?? As far as I know none of these have changed between when my son was happily playing and now when he can't.

Has anyone experienced the same or have any pointers on what to try next?

I've searched through several old threads here to no effective solution.

Edit: I've seen a couple replies with similar problem so here's my workaround in lieu of a real fix - all this was done on a Samsung Tab S9 FE.

  1. Create a new user on the tablet.

  2. Create a new Google account with an adult date of birth

  3. Install among us for the new user

  4. Start among us and enter the same date of birth as the new Google account

  5. Deleted or disabled all other apps for the profile (attempting to keep some control over what my son does with the tablet)

Drawbacks are that family link has no control over the new profile so effectively I can't stop apps being installed, block apps, time limits, or remote locking. It also means there's two users to switch between.
