Salam . So I'm looking for a way to pay for G Drive from Algeria . Before I have paid using Paysera and everything works fine .. for the last months I have tried to upgrade the plan . And I was unable to do that after hours of talking to both supports they was unable to fix my problem . Google support told that the problem comes from the currency (on Google it's in dzd and Paysera is Eur) I'm not sure how to fix that . So if anyone is able to help me with that I will be grateful . Anyone is using GDrive ? How are paying for it ? Thank so much

Use tera box and benefit from 1tb of free cloud storage... I've been using it since google made google photos a paid service and I'm uploading videos and photos in the original quality and everything is fine with it

Was there about 3 years ago. Fi was a lifesaver as the hotel's wifi was utter rubbish. If I remember correctly, I was getting sustained 20-30Mbps downloads in Marrakech and Casablanca. Enjoy!

I'm in Morocco right now and am using Google Fi. I'm only at the beginning of my trip, but have been pretty happy with it. I had perfect coverage in Rabat. Today I'm on a train between Rabat and Fes and it got spotty in the middle of nowhere, but as we passed through Meknes it picked back up. I'm going down to the desert and then will head to Marakesh to end it. I'll update y'all at the end of my trip.

I am planning on signing up for Google Fi Unlimited Plus + Buying a Pixel 7 from the Website, However I have a few questions.

What Information is needed to sign up for Google Fi?
Would it be possible to get the Phone + SIM shipped to germany?
Can the SIM card be used (mainly SMS) in other countries (Europe, some north african countries incl. Egypt, Algeria, UAE, and Palestine)?
Is the Service reliable outside the US?

You need a US based address to ship to. Also, extended use outside the US will result in Google essentially shutting off your data.

Does anyone has experience of using Project Fi in these countries. Spending 4 days in and around Marrakech and 2 days in Reykjavik.

What network speeds should I expect? Who are the roaming partners in those countries?

I'll be using a Pixel 2 XL with eSIM.

Looks like Google Fi works well enough in Egypt. I really just need it to get texts with verification codes from my financial institutions.

My question is does anyone have experience activating a new Google Fi account while abroad? T&C says it needs to be activated in the US but I wasn't sure if it was enforced or if there's a way around this using a VPN or some other way...

I'm a little stressed. I lost my wallet in Morocco and only have my emergency travel card for now and I'm currently locked out of it until I can get a verification text from them. I was using Visible via WiFi when I first left the US but it stopped working.

I don't have experience with any ways around the restrictions, but I had to do something similar for my girlfriend while she was abroad. She had me log in to her Google account to activate the SIM, then I sent the SIM to her DHL.

Everything I saw on the topic you have to be in the US to do anything with management of your account. VPN doesn't Work Because they can see what towers you're connected to if that makes sense to you.
