I would start with what your groom wants to wear. Does he want to wear a suit or tux? What color does he like? He should be the one to make these decisions. Has he ever owned a suit or tux before? He might already know of a place that has sizes that fit him. If not, I think you’re on the right track to make sure any suit place has inclusive sizing. If he’s totally unfamiliar with suits and suit shopping, I’d suggest he goes in person to a suit shop (even just a chain like Men’s Warehouse) to look around and see how it works. He doesn’t have to buy anything or try anything on, but he could ask all his questions to the staff there. Plus they’ll take his measurements for free so he can take that somewhere else if he wants!
