I want to throw a Halloween party for my toddler and friends (age 2-5). I was considering waiting a few years because toddlers might be too scared… but it’s hard waiting… I love Halloween so much and my toddler is old enough to actually have friends this year. What do yall think, too scary? I would only do cute or not gruesome/overly spooky decor. I thought they would have fun with a black light party with glow in the dark stuff. I would have them paint mini pumpkins, pin the spider on the web, mummy wrap with tp, and setup an indoor bounce house. Any other ideas for Halloween fun that a toddler can manage? What about ideas to keep the parents entertained too?
Edit: had this party and it was a blast for all. I did follow advice from the comments here and made a separate room for black light so kids could take a break from it as they pleased. They also liked going in/out of the two rooms. I wasn’t sure if they’d be scared of the black light room but they all loved it. In the black light room I had: coloring with highlighters, glow ring toss, glow magnetic tiles, glow car track, and a toy called Johnny skull. In the lighted room: pumpkin painting, Halloween books, and coloring. Really glad I got to throw the Halloween bash of my dreams lol

My 4.5 year old son is in pre-k. He wants to have a Halloween party. Issue is our house is tiny. Very tiny. Sending invites through the school, we have to invite the whole class (20 kids) and usually they want to bring their siblings. Then parents. So I was thinking of having it at a local park. The issue is we are in Florida where it will be HOT. looking for ideas for his party. He loves Ghostbusters but other kids don't so looking to do something with just us for his Ghostbuster love.
Hi, I'm thinking of throwing a very small party (like max 8 kids) for my Halloween obsessed twins and I'm looking for tips. I've never thrown any kind of party before.
What I need tips on is timings. I'm thinking of making it around 2 hours long? I want to include a couple of games (variations of pass the parcel, musical statues and pin the hat on the witch or something). A little craft (nothing messy). Time to eat some party food and then a little mini disco.
My main question is, what order would you do these things? Will 4 year olds have more trouble focusing on a craft or games right at the beginning or right at the end? Do parents tend to stay? Will they usually help out? Do I need to provide food for them too or maybe just tea and biscuits? I'm nervous of having so many kids in my tiny house... how can I make sure things run smoothly?
Thank you!
Edit: Just to add I'm in the UK, if that changes anything in regards to etiquette
