Hi folks. I just got my first record player up and running recently. I have a nice little collection so far, but am looking to expand my collection of metal and rock albums a little bit.
I'm looking for vinyl from artists like: Ghost, Powerwolf, Nightwish, Metallica, Rammstein, Tool, and Greta Van Fleet.
The closest place to me is Into the Abyss on Locke, and I appreciate that they have their own website with a browsable inventory. I fully plan on picking up a couple records there since they have good selection from other genres, but since I'm completely new to this scene, I don't know where I should start looking for the kind of music listed above.
Appreciate any advice!
Just got a record player & I'm trying to find the best shop for hiphop/rap records specifically. I live right beside Ottawa St so I'm aware of the shops there but their rap selections haven't blown me away. I'm curious if there's any small shops in another area in Hamilton that might have some good finds?
I’ve recently inherited a massive record collection and I’m in need of a player. Trying to research online is overwhelming so I was looking to talk to someone at a local shop. I live near Ottawa so Im wondering if anyone can recommend a record shop nearby that could give me some guidance?
Looking for good vintage record stores (bonus if they have a good metal & punk selection - keen on seeking first presses). Also looking for vintage toy stores, antique spots. I’ve explored most of Ottawa st already, I’m open to outside of Hamilton as well, willing to drive to nearby towns. Thanks! Looking forward to your recommendations!
Looking to sell a bunch of records (from 1970s-80s). Advice on an honest buyer around Hamilton?
[Addition to original post:]
I've had an amazing overwhelming interest in my collection! Apologies to those I haven't replied to. I will reach out to more people in the next couple weeks to see if there's still interest in whatever I have left as people go through them.
I received a very generous Christmas gift from a friend - a simple record player! Music has always been important to me but I was an early adopter of the MP3 player and haven't bought anything physical in half my life. I didn't think I wanted one, but now I am kind of excited about it. Enough about me.
Where do you buy your used records?
