How to know if I have hashimoto disease
Should I push for Hashimotos diagnosis?
I’m in the US and have similar numbers to you. My pcp missed my slightly elevated TSH (3.5ish) but when I went to my gyn to chat about menstrual irregularities, she caught it, and since I was gearing up to try to have a baby and my T4 was on the low end of normal, she put me on 25 mg of levothyroxine. If you’re a woman, you might have more luck going through that route.

should i ask for more testing to confirm?
Yes, ask for a thyroid peroxidase antibody test, that will show if it's autoimmune (Hashimotos) or not. Hypothyroidism doesn't always equal Hashimotos and basically it's whether or not you'll be on levothyroxine (or other thyroid meds) for life or if there's something else causing it. That determines how you treat it, so it is important.
Hope that you find the answers you need 💗 I know it's a struggle no matter what. Good luck!
