Hey everyone, we want to use our Bonfire on our wooden deck - and we have the little ring stand that the stove sits on - but my family is paranoid that the heat will mess up the deck. To be extra safe, can anyone recommend a fireproof mat to put under it? I’m looking on Amazon and there are so many but all mixed reviews.. Thanks for your advice!

What are my options for a deck shield?
I’d get paver Squares the 12x12 ones or bigger and make a square big enough to go completely under the grill. That way the heat alone won’t melt your Trex Decking. Maybe even put a square of wood in between that also. I cook on top of a piece of wood with my bbq in the bed of my Nissan to prevent melting my bed liber.

Looking to put a smoker down on a synthetic deck. It’s one of the ones with the charcoal way down low. Is there some method or product than can protect a deck from that. I was thinking of just buying some bricks for it to stand on.

Like a cabinet style smoker? I’m not sure how hot those get on the bottom but I think I’d just try it and check the temp with an infrared and test.
My buddy built a little table for his just to get it up a little higher and more comfortable to use. Something like that could work. Just out of some pressure treated 2x4
