I’ve been getting into classic films lately and feel like there are so many hidden gems from Old Hollywood that don’t get as much recognition as the big names. Does anyone have recommendations for underrated films from the 30s, 40s, or 50s that deserve a rewatch or a first-time viewing? I’m looking for lesser-known movies that have fallen under the radar but are still amazing in terms of story, direction, or performances!
Would love to hear your suggestions!
Movies that went under the radar, or movies that you taught didn't get a deserved praise or just movies that no one has ever watched before. And also explain what makes this movie/movies so great or intersting. These can be indies, art houses or foreign....etc Go crazy! . [EDIT: thanks for the recommendation guys, i feel like i should throw in some too. I recommend 'seven psychopaths', 'Raw' (2016) and 'Sexy beast', thanks again]
I'm looking for recommendations of great movies. Movies that are hidden gems would be awesome and even movies that are just great in all aspects
In need of a dose of nostalgia and I feel like I've seen all the usual fare from this period. What are some great 80s/90s movies I may have missed?
I’ve seen many of the most famous, classic Classics. Looking for lesser knowns that are still decent.
Example: No Highway in the Sky (1951), a cute little Jimmy Stewart film. Nothing spectacular, not nearly on par with his best, but… a cute little film.
Hoping for more of the same. Can be an excellent film that is horribly overlooked, or just a solid, lesser-known effort that isn’t top tier but still deserves a watch. Any genre. Thanks!
