In screen printing, each color is applied separately, making the cost higher per additional color and it's not the best option if your design consists of several colors but it's better if you want multiple overlapping colors and it's ideal for printing on to cotton and poly cotton clothing items like a hockey jersey. Plus it's more durable in the wash and can withstand more wear and tear. In heat press, your colors can't really overlap but you can still use multiple colors and photographic material can be pressed onto the jersey but the biggest con of heat press is that it can easily fall off after wear in tear in games or in the wash.
