Tile quality from home depot
Depends on the tile, they carry dozens of brands. For what it's worth, I've been very happy with my tile from them. Things to look at are slip resistance, material (you want porcelain, not ceramic), availability of matching bullnose tiles if you want to do coordinated trim, and tile thickness (at least 3/8" or 10mm for flooring). Two things I really appreciated about the big box store tiles were lower shipping costs (saved close to 30% on that alone) and easy returns for tiles damaged in transit (take them to the local store vs pay to ship them back). Is this tile from the Home Depot good?
It’s gonna be your generic brand cheap Home Depot tile. It’s far less superior than Daltile or Marazzi but it’ll do the job. That being said, I did my bathroom in the basement with Home Depot’s cheapest that looks similar to this and it’s holding up pretty well considering the occasional use. Been about 4 years now. If your concern is about the tile breaking and future cracks, buy an extra box or a few pieces and put it in your garage for when the time comes. Edit: I highly doubt it’s porcelain unless it’s on clearance. Porcelain is always double the price or more of regular ceramic. Edit: https://www.homedepot.com/p/MSI-Brillion-Aspen-Gris-12-in-x-24-in-Matte-Ceramic-Floor-and-Wall-Tile-2-sq-ft-Each-NHDBRIASPGR1224/319022009 Yea it’s ceramic. MSI isn’t a bad company either so I would go for it. More on reddit.com
Anybody else used Home Depot for flooring installation?
I don’t have experience with Home Depot but I highly highly recommend using a flooring company. The efforts & knowledge put in by a flooring company will absolutely outweigh any cost differences from Home Depot. As well, if there’s an issue with the flooring in a few months time, it will be much easier to get help with it. More specifically, I would recommend Bridgeport. Small’s Tile is also a great place but they usually have a bit of a higher price point. Investing into your home is almost always worth it - assuming you don’t go super crazy on the costs. Good floors installed by the proper people working for a company who knows what they’re doing in the flooring industry will go a very, very long way. More on reddit.com
Has anyone tried the MSI engineered marble tile from Home Depot for flattening?
Have you checked them with a straight edge? If they look flat, then they are probably flat enough for sharpening... More on reddit.com

How to Tile a Floor: 14 Easy Steps - Homedepot.ca
January 17, 2022 - In order to divide the floor into manageable boxes – roughly 2x3 feet square – layout your tiles in a box formation at the gridline intersection and measure the length. Add the width of one spacer to each measurement. Remove the tiles and lay out a chalk-line grid, using your sample box measurements for each square on the grid.

I am coming to the bathrooms of my large Reno project and I in hopes of saving some money on materials I'm thinking about getting tiles from home depot instead of a kitchen/tile store. I was wondering what the quality of home depot tiles were.

Home Depot is fine… it depends on the brand/style of tile you choose. They have crap tiles and very decent tiles but a small selection. Do you have a Floor & Decor near you? They have great prices and a HUGE selection.

Tile Stores vs. Lowes/Home Depot
February 20, 2020 - Hi Houzzers. Wondering if there is really and difference between Ceramic Floor Tiles sold at specialty Tile stores vs. those sold at Home Depot or Lowes? Same durability but just less variety or is the quality that much worse? I’ve been to so many specialty stores and have found nothing that ...

Porcelain is always better. I’m sure the tile gods might frown, but doubting HD is much different then anything else assuming your not getting the cheap cheap stuff I always shy away from tile that looks like the color is printed on. Also consider slippery tile in places like bathroom s
