Hi there
I have to use an hospital bed and unfortunately the remote control doesn't work anymore. I'm planning to buy a new one, but it is quite difficult to find which one is appropriate.
I'm sure that it is a wire problem, because when I hold tight the cable in a certain point it works.
I was thinking that I can change the wire, if a new remote control is too difficult to find. Here are some pictures with the remote control.

I believe this is a Apollo Aphrodite Bed Handset 8 Button. Google should show you replacement options. Personally, I'd start with a continuity test on each pin. Alligator clamps to hold it tight while you wiggle the wire to see which one is broken.

I'm sure that it is a wire problem It sounds like a harness issue. But could it be at the 8-pin receptacle (bed side) and not the 8-pin remote side? I imagine there's a lot of wiggling/movement while using the remote that could be causing wear and tear on the bed side. It could be an intermittent connection. Is it possible to see the receptacle on the bed? Are there any bent pins? They should be 'cup' shaped. Are they "too open" (not making contact)? The picture inside the remote looks fine (buttons, traces, etc). In order to find the correct connectors we'll need more detailed images of them. More specific dimensions. Pin pitch, etc.
